I watched Nabil come into the house.
"Don't worry, it's just for the weekend" I told him giving his shoulder a tight squeeze. He just looked at me and walked away.Nafisa came in right behind me. She had tears in her eyes. Her eyes said the same thing Nabil eyes said.i just couldn't understand it. She ran into her room leaving me all alone, this weekend is going to be a long one.
I woke up and entered Nabil room to wake him up for fajr prayer. I was shock to find him awake reading the qur'an.Nabil isn't an early riser is all I can say.i said my salaam and quietly closed the door behind me. I went back to my room to perform my ablution and offered my salat. It felt good praying. Standing in front of the one who created you with perfection. Who put life into me and left me to see today.i went downstairs to fix some breakfast but I have just one problem cant cook.well,I will wait for Martha to come and do it.mom hired her to take care of us.i settled for cereals and just decided to watch any random movie. That's soo me.
Martha came right on time with some cheese cake and other stuffs. She cleaned the house, made lunch and dinner, and stored them in the fridge before leaving. She never really spoke to us.
"Habiba can we call mummy and daddy?"Nafisa said climbing on top of me.
"Call Nabil while I Skype them" I told her as she ran to call him.
The both came running as we sat to speak to my parents' could see the happiness on their faces.
"Mummy Nabil is being such a baby" Nafisa said
"No.i'm not" Nabil said defending himself
"Then eat something" Nafisa said
"Nabil why are you not eating? You are thirteen and you want me to still be feeding you?"Mum says and starts ranting at Nabil just hugged Nafisa and watched Nabil expression making me laugh mockingly at him. After she was done ranting, Nabil apologized and mom made him to get something to eat and force him to eat it directly in front of him. I took a picture of the moment, making mom and dad appear in it. Not like they knew. I just had to capture this moment. I will keep it as a memory. Memories last forever but they can fade away. One moment you see a memory so clear that it feels like yesterday but as time goes on the memories begins to fade away. The memories may not be fresh as a picture but a mere story.
"What's wrong Habiba?"Dad asked as I look at the picture.
"Nothing "I gave him my most sincere smile as I joined the conversation.
There's nothing better than family. That's where the love starts
