Chapter 8 (Not edited)

“Nat, I already told you, I’m fine” I assured Natalie for what felt like the millionth time. During the food fight, the boys had received a call. They said it was their security guard, someone by the name of Paul. This Paul guy had demanded them to go home right this instant. Apparently, the boys had sneaked out when he went out for groceries, somehow not being seen by the other guards.

Ridiculous, I know.

Paul said they were in huge trouble so the boys quickly left, muttering their goodbyes while sprinting out the door. Natalie and I snorted when they walked out, but instantly shrieked after turning around and seeing the condition our kitchen was in. Let me tell you, the kitchen was a complete mess. If you were to look up the word ‘mess’ in the dictionary, a picture of our kitchen will appear. The counter tops were all dusted white, not one marble spot uncovered. The ceiling had eggs dripping, yolk splattering everywhere. I don’t even know how the hell you get egg on the ceiling when the victims are on the floor. The pancake mix that Leiny poured over Niall was splattered on the floor, walls, fridge and stove, everywhere. The butter- which Zayn hilariously slipped on- was all over the floor and the table. The horrible smell of the egg was filling up the kitchen, making us scrunch up our noses in disgust.

Yuck.

So basically, it looked like living hell. What was worse was that Natalie and I had to clean all of it by ourselves.

I heard Natalie sigh, gently grabbing my hand.

“You don’t look fine! How are you going to be fine when you passed out in the middle of the sidewalk at almost 3 in the morning! And to top it off, you get home with 2 slap marks on your cheeks” Natalie spat angrily, probably getting tried that I wasn’t telling her anything.

“I already told you that I went for a run and I guess I fell asleep!” I lied, running a tired hand through my hair. Natalie nodded suspiciously, furrowing her eyebrows.

“Right, okay, that explains why you passed out and was found outside in the middle of the night. What about the slap marks, did your arms just magically lose control and somehow manage to give you two slap marks on both cheeks?” she asked, mischievously. I gulped, eyeing the couch behind her. I did not want to make contact with my sister when she was angry. It was like she could see through your soul and somehow read your mind. The last thing I need is my sister calling the cops and Marco complying with his promise.

God no.

“Yea” I shrugged, looking everywhere but at my sisters dark brown eyes. My eyes flickered to hers suddenly but then quickly focused on the honey colored rug.

Dang it.

“Really Jessa? You don’t –“Natalie started, but I cut her off, waving my hand dismissively.

“Nat, I have work tomorrow and I should really be heading up to bed” I glanced at the clock, only to notice it was half way past midnight.

“Stop avoiding the subject!” she said, but I was already heading up the stairs.

“Night!” I hollered down. I heard her scramble off the couch, quickly running behind me.

“Jessa! Stop being such a wimp and tell me!” she whined, running up the steps. I reached my room, going inside and pocking my head out the door.

“Jessa don’t be like that just-“

“Night, love you!” I called as I shut the door. Natalie groaned before muttering some colorful words under her breath. I breathed a sigh of relief as I made my way to the shower.
