The first week went by quickly. It was easy to adapt with help from Abe and the guys. Today was Friday and I was in my last period. Finally the bell rang.
As the students emerged from the classrooms I walked towards where I always meet up with my friends by the locker rooms. That's where most of the grade went after school.
"Hey Ian! Change of plans today, instead of practice it's gonna be team bonding tonight." Abe said
"Oh ok, is it because it's a Friday?"
"Yeah when we do team bonding its usual on a Friday."
"Where's it gonna be?" I asked
"Collin's house."

On my way to Collin's house I thought about my luck. Of course team bonding would end up at the house of the first and only person I've managed to piss off so far. He's probably used to the feeling though, that guy has problems.
"Hey thanks for giving me a ride buddy." Abe sits in the passenger seat occasionally giving me directions to get to Collin's.
"No problem man, sucks that your car's having trouble though."
Apparently Abe's car has seen better days. With a history of mechanical problems he's lucky to even get it started nowadays. It's a miracle it's made it so far.
"Yeah it's definitely on its last leg, I don't think my baby's gonna make it."
"If you need to hitch rides to school I'm available, you live beachside?"
"Yeah I do, that'd be great!"
"Alright cool, hey which house is it again?"
"The one on the left"
We pull in alongside some of the other cars.
"Nice house" I say getting out of the car.
Abe emerges with a bag.
"Hey what's that?"
"Oh this, it's my clothes, ah man did I forget to mention at team bonding we usually spend the night?!"
"It's all good, I can just leave before it gets too late."
"No way! You gotta stay! Just ask Collin to borrow some clothes."
"Errrrr alright I guess."
"Come on it'll be fun!"
