Chapter 31

Joanna's POV

I woke up early in the morning, feeling dizzy because of the sun glaring at my eyes. Gosh! I forgot to close the curtains last night.

I stood up and started to get ready.

Shower.

How I love that word. Everytime, it feels like it could take all my problems away. Every drop, every moment, every single caress of the water through my skin. How I wish it really could.

But I guess I had no choice but to face it, do I?

I hope this better be a good day.

After an hour of relaxing in the shower, I went downstairs and greeted my Mom and Dad.

"Merry Christmas Mom and Dad!"

But I heard no answer. I looked around and was surprised to see the whole house.

Wow! I can't believe it! Our house is very decorated this year. There's a christmas tree at the corner, decorated with green and red lights and christmas balls. Every corner of the house has its decoration.

"Dad? Mom?" But i guess, they're at work, they're always at work 24 hours! So i can't even meet them, maybe sometimes, but its only 5 minutes or something less than 15 minutes!

But i'm still thirsty! So i'll go drink some water. But suddenly,

"Merry Christmas Honey!" Mom and Dad shouted. I was like, wow! Is this true, cause i know that they should be at work right now,

"Mom, Dad, how about your work?" I asked them.

"We talked last night, we decided to leave first at work, and have some time with you honey." Dad said. Then mom smiled.

But what about Ashley, i have to be there! Maybe they'll understand.

Ashley's POV

"Thomas! Are you already done? You have to move fast! I think Joanna is coming! Go faster!" Oh Gosh! This is so stress! But i have to help him because his my friend, but i did not say that not this stress!

"Is she there already??!" Thomas asked very stressed.

"No, she's not here, but we have to go fast!" Taylor said while simply looking at the road.

Then my phone rang.

"Guys, guys, it's Joanna!" I said. Then they quickly come to me.

"Answer it!" Thomas said.

"I'm doing it! Hello, Joanna?" I said. Then i put it on loud speaker.

"Oh hi Ashley, what's up?" Joanna said.

"We're okay."

"What we? Do you have our other friends there?" Joanna said.

"Oh! Ummm, ummm, no i'm just alone here." I said.

"Is Thomas there?" Joanna asked, and then Michael pushed Thomas because Michael is like, he has a butterfly at his stomach!

"Ummm, no! He's not here! Why?" I said, while doing the up and down eyebrows.

"Nothing, i just miss him." Joanna said. And i saw Thomas is turning red.

"Why? Do you like him?" I asked.

"Kinda! And don't let anybody know it!"Michael pushed again Thomas.
"But she have already its BABY so i have no chance!" She added. Then Thomas laughed.

"Oh, Joanna, i'm so sorry for that!" I said like i didn't know what's the truth.

"Its okay! But Wait! Ashley, i just notice something there, there's a noise around there somewhere?" Joanna asked.

"No, Joanna! I'm just doing something stuff!" I Said.

"Oh! Okay! Ummm, Joanna, i'm so sorry!" Joanna said. Then all of our heads come close.

"Why Joanna?" I said.

"I can't go there, Ashley, cause my mom and dad wants us to celebrate our Christmas together, and this is the only time, that we'll have time for one another, i hope you'll understand, but i can go there, but at the afternoon, is that okay for you?" Joanna said.

Then Thomas cheered up and he put his thumbs up on.

"Okay, its okay! Its fine! Just come at the afternoon okay?" I said.

"Okay, thanks for understanding." Joanna said.

"Enjoy your Christmas!" I said then i end up the call.

"Good! Atleast we have more time to set this thing up!" Thomas said.

"Yeah i know right!" I said.
