Merry Christmas

The evening air brisk and chilly as the snowflakes fell on the sidewalk outside. You and Eren were in your comfy apartment with your black lab puppy, Sen. Eren was laying on the couch cuddling you from behind as Sen was laying on her doggy bed. The TV played How The Grinch Stole Christmas as the Christmas tree emitted a soft glow from its lights.
"Hey, (y/n)?" He asked.
You turned your head to look at him.
He stared at you silently with those eyes that you fell in love with. They were two brilliant gems, mixed with blue and green that made your heart skip a beat, even after all this time.
"..Eren?"
"Yeah?"
"What is it?"
"Nothing," he smiled. "I just wanted to see how beautiful you are."
You blushed a bit. He was such a romantic when he wanted to be, especially during the holidays. That was one of the reasons you loved him.
"You're such a softie," you said, while giving him a light peck on the cheek.
"Only for you babe."
He kissed you softly and held you closer, while you wrapped your arms around him. There was no lip licking, or neck kissing, just giving you tender kisses filled with emotion and care. Even kisses like these caused your stomach to flood with butterflies.
As you both pulled away, he cupped your cheek.
"I love you, (y/n)."
You placed your hand over his.
"I love you too. So much."
The warmth from his body heat and the blanket covering the both of you was starting to make you drowsy.
He kissed your forehead.
"You can rest, (y/n). I'll protect you."
You nodded and mumbled a goodnight while Eren played with your hair as you drifted off to sleep.

He kissed your head once again softly.

"Merry Christmas, (y/n)."
