You woke up to the sound of an alarm in your room. What the fuck, stupid clock, you thought. You checked your phone for the date, and groaned at the realization.

Today was Valentine's Day.

Oh jeez, you thought. I wonder how  many Valentines Eren will get today.

Eren Jaeger was the popular guy at your high school. Everyone adored him. Perfect look, grades, personality, everything. A lot of girls were crushing on him. It was sad to admit that you were one of them. You weren't a die-hard fangirl for him like most girls were. Those kind of girls actually have time to worship him, especially when its time for classes to switch. You, on the other hand, have to manage to keep your grades up and study every night.

You finally got out of bed and decided to get dressed.

Haha..the whole school's going to look like cupid threw up on it. Now, what should I wear?

Even though it wasn't an annual tradition, you knew that a lot of people were going to wear red, white, and pink to school. You were always the kind of girl to go against those rules.

You decided on dark blue skinny jeans, a black sweater over a long-sleeved button down blouse, and you favorite pair of combat boots. You despised the idea of wearing those colors, but you finally decided to wear some eyeliner and red lipstick. You put your (h/l) (h/c) into a ponytail, grabbed your scarf and jacket, your backpack, phone, keys, and ran out the door.

When you got to school, there were Valentine's decorations EVERYWHERE. The lockers and hallways were lined with streamers and ornaments, some of the guys were giving flowers and presents to their sweethearts, and the girls were giving each other chocolate.

Then, some distance away, you saw him.

Eren.

He was against his locker, being swarmed by a flock of girls who desperately wanted his attention. He was kindly accepting the small gifts they were giving him.

Ohmygod, the things his smile does to me.. you thought.

You saw him look up and..

He made eye contact with you.

The school's most popular kid looked at you, the shy honors kid.

And winked.

Your heart skipped a beat, and you felt your cheeks rising in temperature. You shyly looked away and started heading to class.

((Time Skip))

It was the end of the day, and you were exhausted. Suddenly the teacher made the annoncement:

"The messengers are here!"

During Valentine's Day, the school sells roses to students to raise fund for clubs and other expenses. There are four colors of roses;

Yellow for friendship, red for passion, pink for a secret admirer, and white for love. Almost no one ever bought white roses, unless they really loved someone.

Some people groaned in annoyance, while some of the girls squealed and cheered. You never really got any flowers, just one or two yellow ones from the few friends you had.

You glanced around the room and took note of the different colored flowers people had on their desks. Some of the girls had yellow and pink ones, and the guys had pink and red roses.

Figures, you thought.

"All right, I think thats it," the teacher said.

"Wait-- we have one more."

Everyone, even you were surprised.  Wonder who its for.. you thought.

The messanger came in with a stunning bouquet-- at least two dozen white roses, of the palest ivory color.

"(F/n) (L/n)?" the messanger asked.

Everyone turned and looked at you with a somewhat shocked look on their faces. You shyly raised your hand.

The messenger gave you the bouquet. Inside the flowers, there was a small card that read:
It takes anyone to catch your eye, but it takes one to catch your heart.

On the back was another message;
If you want to know who i am, meet me by the back stairs after school. I'll be waiting.

All of the girls were gushing over your gorgeous bouquet. You were in awe of how beautiful they were, too.

Suddenly, a thought came into your mind.
I wonder if its..? No..he wouldnt give me flowers, of all people...could he?
