Chapter Ten

Chapter Ten:

"Niall can you give me and Samantha a moment?" I said sitting on Sams bed.

"Babe, please just let me explain" Niall said walking towards me.

"Niall. A moment...please" I said pointedly.

He hesitantedly made his way out the door.

"So he had sex with you and left?" I asked.

"Yeah we met and I thought it was love at first sight and it was stupid but we went back to my place. When I woke up he was gone and I didn't have his number or anything. I saw him and his band on the news occasionally but... that's it" She sighed.

"He may've changed though... it was a year or so ago. He seems great and I don't want to keep you from him by telling you that" She said with a smile.

"Thanks Samantha" I said and we hugged tightly.

After I told her about the race and she told me how grateful she was, I went out into the hall.

Niall was sitting on the floor fiddling with his thumbs.

The door clicked behind me and he looked up, as soon as he saw me he leapt towards me and grabbed my waist.

"Please don't think of me as some horrible dick who has one night stands please just let me explain" He pleaded.

"Okay" I said and he pulled me closer.

"I was a bit drunk, plus all the boys were in relationships they talked about it all the time it just got to me so I was dumb and threw myself into finding a girl and Sam was so pretty... it was so dumb and I realized that in the morning, I just left because I didn't know what else to do." Niall said

"So you think Sam is pretty?" I said with a smile.

"Not even as close to as pretty as you.... Mags" He said, thinking I was angry with him.

"I was joking. Samantha is gorgeous but I'm not mad at you for saying that.... and I'm not mad at you for a mistake you made two years ago. I know you've changed and everyone makes mistakes Niall" I said running my hands through his hair.

"You're the best" Niall said and pulling me in for a kiss.

"I know" I said turning away from his lips before he could kiss me and walked back into the hospital room.

"Are you teasing me? From having a kiss?" Niall asked as he walked in behind me.

"Yes" I said "Sam is already asleep" I said as I walked next to her bed.

"She falls asleep fast" Niall noted.

"No kidding, I guess we should leave" I said.

"Okay let's go" Niall said as he guided me out the door with his hand on my back. We walked down the hall and into the fresh air.

"Oh man. I left some candy bars back in Sams room, I'll be right back!" Niall shouted as he took off towards the hospital. I laughed at him and got in the car, starting it up and lowering the roof.

I put in a c.d I had burned and hummed along to "Stray Cat Blues" by The Rolling Stones.

NIALLS P.O.V

"Yeah I told her I came back to get candy, which is only half true" I said grabbing a bunch of candy with a huge smile.

"Well everything is set Niall, you just say when and its done" Sam said. I grinned and walked over to her.

"She totally bought the story about us hooking up" I said laughing.

"What was the point in that again?" Samantha asked.
