The clock seemed to be moving slower than ever before as I was waiting for lunch to come. I know what Wyatt is going to say, he gives the same speech about how we can't let our emotions get the better of us and how we have to focus on helping spirits.
But I'm tired of fighting our feelings for each other, sure they got in the way and became distracting in the past, but that was only because we kept trying to fight them.
I think when lunch finally does come around I'm going to tell him just that. 'If we stop fighting them and embrace them we won't have to fight two separate battles.'
With that thought in my mind the clock ticks by even slower than before. When the bell for lunch finally rings I jump from my seat to go find Wyatt.
When I see him I shout, "Wyatt!" Causing him to turn around just in time for me to press my lips against his, leaving him stunned for a moment before I pull back.
"I don't care about whether or not we should feel they way we do. But everytime we tried to fight our feelings for each other we ended up dying early deaths, we were always to busy trying to fight ourselves that we couldn't see the malevolents coming. We need to stop fighting two battles. I want to be with you in at least one life, and I know you want the same. Please just try Wyatt," I beg to him in one big rush.
He stares at me for a minute before reaching up and pulling me closer by the back of my head and neck whispering, "Dominic, you've never said anything like that before. However you're right, I do want a chance at us, I want to be able to be with you," before smashing his lips against mine.
After a few seconds we pull apart and I smile and ask, "So we're still on for that date then?"
Wyatt smirks, "Ya, I think we are."
