So, my body saw that I had too much magic ability stored already, you thought as you stared deeply into the glowing Cramosite sword, therefore, it forced the fire's energy out, and the next thing that could absorb it was my sword. You wondered if that's how Mom and Dad got their magical weapons... Before they died, you thought.
The next step in defeating the Griffin, that you despised, was to understand what you could do with Accidental Flame. You imagined almost exactly what the blade would do now: catch fire, throw flames, burn everything it touches, and other powerful moves.
But still, you decided to practice. A tree that was a quarter mile away from your house, as you did not want to burn your house down to ashes, had many chared spots and was about to fall down by the time you were done with it. The practicing did you well because you could learn how to control it: thoughts, audible commands, and your own mental strength.
Thirty-six hours left, you roughly estimate.
... ... ...The rain was heavy, and the trees, they stood and swayed like walking giants. Everything was a continuos loop of action: rain dropping, water falling rapidly from unnaturally massive tree leaves, angry roars and caws from the inside of the cave's wide-open mouth.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU CAN'T FIND HER!? SHE IS ONE OF MY MOST PRIZED POSSESSIONS! HOW COULD YOU JUST LOOSE HER!?" you hear a familiar voice of almighty, mystical rage. You stand only a half-acre from your victim's dwelling place, keeping in mind that you now have the power to take revenge on him that forced you to murder your friend, your only friend, or suffer through death.
"FIND HER!" the voice thundered again, "Or will you suffer the same fate of my last servant? WHAT WILL IT BE!?" A short human with wings, talons, and foot-long claws flew hurriedly to in hope of finding his own victim: you.
Now he is alone, you think, or is that just wishful thinking? Does it matter? Back to the point, stay focused! The Griffin is alone, and now is my chance.
You broke into a sprint-duck motion because you were hiding from the Bird-Man thing while trying to get to the Griffin's base. If you were caught, you believe that you would either be killed on site or never get out of this jungle alive, stuck behind invisible bars, ready to give in and kill yourself. You were ready.
Once you were only about twenty feet away from the hideout, you used magic to dash through the rest of the seemingly endless units of distance. With the light-green lighting fading behind you, the Bird-Man spotted you almost immediately and started to yell. Quickly aiming the tip of pointed Cramosite at the creature, you shoot a condensed fireball at its chest. Before you knew it, he or she had disappeared into a pile of ash on the ground. You thought the Griffin heard it, so you dashed into the cave opening and found the soon-to-be-dead creature.
You found him sleeping in the middle of what seemed like his room. He was on a plush red carpet. Aside from the carpet, the room was pretty much bare with only a desk with a small unlit candle on it occupying a lonely corner in the back of the cat's bedroom. You lit the candle silently, but the woosh of the flame shooting from your blade betrayed you when the Griffin woke to see you standing in his doorway with a long dark-red glint of a sword and a full set of armor on. He saw the flicker of the candle's bright flame and attempted to blow it out slowly. Before he could, you burnt a toe to ashes.
"Ah! Hot!" the Griffin yelled, "Stop that this instant! Or I'll...! I'll..."
"You'll what?" You said antagonizingly while you slowly allowed your sword gain its glowing state as it was enveloped in crackling but smooth flames.
"You think that small a flame scares me? Ha! You're even a bigger fool than I thought you to be!" he continued laughing for a few seconds and then stopped. Accidental Flame had been fully blanketed in flames. Your eyes were taking on a fiery state of red.
"Well, it sure as hell scared your pigeon-man thing out there."
"I'm warning you girl," the Griffin said deeply, "Don't underestimate the power a griffin has, but definitely don't underestimate the power the Griffin has. Back off."
"Don't ever underestimate the power of a human, but don't ever underestimate the power of a young, human, female, wizard," you swung your sword from over your head down right where the Griffin was, "Especially an angry one!"
"Oh, silly little girl," he was now standing against a wall on the other side of the room, "How could you possibly be mad at me?"
You charge at him with glowing red eyes and a flaming red sword.
"You took me away from my friends!" you swung, "No, from my family!" you swung again, "You took me here and held me prisoner for reasons unknown!" your flames are scorching the walls of the room, "You tried to kill me with poison!" you swung harder this time, "You... you made me...," you were talking soft so he could understand you clearly and because you were trying not to cry, "YOU MADE ME MURDER MY ONLY FRIEND HERE!"
You swung your sword, but every time you missed the Griffin's armorless flesh. He was now outside in the small opening in front of the cave entrance.
"Those are quite the appropriate reasons," the Griffin said, "Do you recall the day that monkey died? And the promise that I made? Today, I. Will. Break. That. PROMISE!" The Griffin grew taller than the trees and had green glowing eyes along with its now metallic beak and fur. His paw was growing larger and larger straight above you, and you started to spin and create a dome of flame to protect you from the hostile attack. It burns his entire hand off, but he extremity grew back within seconds. He tried to grab you multiple times, but you kept out of reach.
His wings had grown almost thirty times as large as they used to be and could create almost literal tornados. This along with his forceful power and new physical outlook made you doubt your own abilities.
Next, you magic-sprinted to his legs, but he picks you up and throws you back down. You jump straight up like a flee and just barely dodge a flury of attacks until a massive paw hits your head, and you are falling like a comet in the stars. You are thrown underground about five feet under, and you can't move. How, you think, you can't stop here. You have come so far! Your chance remember? Get up! GET OUT!
A massive paw is falling rapidly down to the hole you are currently paralyzed in.
