I Heard You're a Player // s.m.

"I don't even know your name" (@ this chapter title)

Shawn. He gave me a weird glance and I couldn't tell if it was good or bad. Glancing at the empty seat next to him and the the empty seat next to Grant, I chose to sit with Grant cause he's been great the whole 5 minutes I've known him.

Settling my stuff in my spot, I looked back to see Shawn's reaction and he was writing on I guess an assignment from their last class or some thing.

The bell rang.

"Good morning students, I'd like to introduce your new classmate, Veronica Brown. Veronica, could you please stand up?"  The old nerdy looking teacher said.

Great. More attention. I stood up slowly and looked around and flashed a shy smile to the class and then sat back down.

"Perfect. Now if you guys could pull out last classes assignment we'll start grading." He continued.

He then walked up and passed me the assignment.

"Veronica, if you could just copy the answers as I say them, that way you get a grade for it"  he whispered. I guess that wouldn't be too hard.

I hate History. So if this is how class is going to be every class, I'll just do my assignments as he reads the answers out.

He started. "Okay, problem 1, Tenochtitlan was conquered b-"

Just as he was about to reveal the answer, a student walked in. All the guys stared at her and all the girls muttered rumors under their breaths towards each other. Typical high school behavior.

"Sorry Mr. B that I'm late, I had some SBO stuff to do."  she said walking towards the back where Shawn was.

She sat down right next to him and kissed his cheek. He looked over to me and grinned mockingly.

I'm not jealous. I'm here with Grant anyways even though he probably has a girlfriend and probably has no interest in me.

Okay maybe I am a bit jealous but I'm being stupid. Why do I always like guys who don't like me?

"Anyways, what problem were we on?"  The nerdy teacher continued.

Along with the question was a big dead group answer, "Question 1."

"Oh that's right. Anyways, Tenochtitlan was conquered by Cortes and his army" he finished.

Man. Here comes a long class...

Shawn's POV

I knew Veronica had this class but I forgot I guess. Making eye contact with her those couple of times was insanely awkward. But I don't know.

I don't know why I feel attracted to someone who's obviously not going to like me with my reputation. Especially with Cassidy showing up acting like if we have a thing or something.

That's it though. I can make Veronica jealous by making her think me and Cassidy are together, then I'll be able to tell if she has some feelings for me. It's kind of Jerky but it's a good plan. It works in every movie and show I see and it's worked on other girls before, I'm just hoping it works on her.

Veronica's POV

"So do you have any nicknames or is it just Veronica?" Grant asked quietly.

"Umm. Well back in Fresno, my friends used to call me Ronnie but I don't know man."  I replied also quietly.

"Haha Ronnie, I like the sound of the that."  He replied. I just gave a little giggle and continued working.

Man. Grant is such a nice kid. Why can't I like him instead of that crazy dork? Gees.

Okay guys. I obviously take realllllllllly long to update but I'm working on it.

And this chapter was sucky

. I'm just trying to clear up feelings that everyone has towards each other

. I'm about to introduce Cassidy as a bigger character btw. And so the next chapter should be done in less than a couple of days. Thanks for being patient as well.
