Aliyah's POV

"I already know I'm going to hate it here mom." I said as I took another spoonful of my cereal.

"Ali, how do you know if you haven't even given it a chance? Please, I know we've been moving around a lot lately but I have a good feeling about this place, please give it a chance." She said, looking at me with her pleading eyes.

Groaning with annoyance, I agreed and said I would give this place fair chance.

This is how it always goes. Every 6-8 months after living in one place, my mother gets tired of it or finds someplace cheaper and we end up moving. Its been like this for 2 years now, and now that I'm a senior in high school, it looks like this place we just moved to is going to be more permanent. We moved here from Mississauga, which isn't even that far from where we are now. Now we live in the most prestigious area to live in, Downtown Toronto. We moved into this house about 2 weeks ago, and have finally settled in. It was harder this time because of my baby sister, Tori. She just turned two and was such a pain to watch while we moved stuff in and moved things around, but ultimately it worked.

So back to where we were, today is the first day of school and I am in no ways excited. Its my senior year, and for that I am excited, but the idea of graduating with people I don't even know is upsetting. I barely have any friends as it is, the only real friends I have live 2 hours away from where I live now.

Sighing dramatically due to my thoughts, I finished my cereal and put my bowl in the sink, grabbed my bag, my cell, and car keys and walked out my front door to my car. As I was about to unlock my adorable KIA Sorrento, I noticed a guy getting into the drivers seat of his car in my neighbor's driveway, his back was facing me, he had on a red and black plaid button up shirt on, and some black jeans. His hair was black too. I watched as he got into his car and reversed out of the parking lot. He drove a 2008 Mercedes Benz.

Remembering that I had school, I jumped in my car and drove to the high school. As I pull in I notice that the school is just like typical high schools in the movies. The students were separated by cliques. There were the jocks, cheerleaders, preps, nerds, artists, musicians, dancers, film geeks, and the burnouts. It seemed like everyone knew where they belonged and who they associate with.

Suddenly feeling uncomfortable and nervous, I looked over my outfit again. I was wearing a black crop top with the word "dope" written across the chest, I was wearing my black retro high waisted skinny jeans and my black ballet flats. My hair was left down in loose waves, and my makeup is done nicely with countour and highlight with a deep red lip.

After taking one last deep breath I exit the driver's seat, I open the back door and get my bag out of the back seat, close the door and lock them as I walk away. I noticed the same Mercedes Benz that my neighbor drove that morning was still there. Shrugging it off, I walked to the guidance office to get my schedule.

"Hi, my name is Aliyah Jones. I'm a new student here." I said to the lady at the front desk. She looked to be in her forties, she has lovely auburn hair and a very friendly face.

"Oh yes, Aliyah. Let me just print that off for you, my name is Mrs. Maxwell by the way." She said as she did some clicking on her computer.

"I hope you enjoy your senior year here at Rydell High." She said once she grabbed the paper out of the printer. Now I know what you're thinking, isn't that the name of the school in Grease? Yes, it is, but its also the name of this school, and this school has been around longer.

Once I got my schedule, I read it and went to my first class, English. I walked in and noticed there were only two seats left, one next to this girl who was picking her nose and another next to a boy with brown hair, and glasses. I decided to sit with the guy.
