Chapter 3

-

"Taylor wake up. We're here." My mom said, nudging my arm. I looked out the window of the car. We were driving through a place called Vancouver.

"Keep an eye out for a place called Victoria okay sweetie?" My mom said.

"Kay." I said. Staring out the window. God I feel like crap. I haven't had a shower in 3 days.

"Turn left here mom." I said

"Thanks hun." Mom said as she turned in.

"How much longer till we're there?" I asked.

"Maybe 3 or 4 minutes.. We're looking for a big house with a bay window in the front. It's the biggest one on this street."

"Okay. Can I go back to sleep now?" I asked.

"Not yet. You need to stay awake and help me find the house." Mom said.

"Fine." I said. Sitting up in my seat. There's a lot of nice houses here.

"Mom, I think I found it. Right there. Too the right." I said pointing out my window.

"Your right. There it is." My mom said happily.

She pulled into the drive way and parked the car. She got out of the car as the land lord walk out of the house to us.

"Hello mrs. Burn, I was just making sure that the water and heat is working in the house, everything fine. I'll show you around the house if you like." She said.

"Sure, I think me and Taylor would enjoy that." My mom said

"Okay, right this way ladies." The land lord said turning to walk towards the house. And the house really was big. There had to be at least 2 bathrooms. Maybe even more. As I walked in trough the front door I was shocked. The porch was beautiful. There was a chandelier and the stair case that led to the bedrooms had little butterfly's carved into the railing.

"Hey mom, mind if I go upstairs alone?" I called out. Mom and the land lord were looking at the kitchen.

"Yeah go right ahead. I'll be down here"

I walked up the stairs slowly. There were a lot of doors up here. Hallways too, I opened the first door I came too and looked in. Master bedroom. I'll let mom have this one I guess, she never got a mater bedroom in the old house. So I closed that door and kept looking for the room I was going to claim as my own. There were a lot of nice rooms. But my favourite was the one in the front of the house. The one with the huge bay window. I placed my back pack on the bed.

Hmmmm. Queen size bed. Not bad.

I walked back downstairs to the back yard where mom was with the land lord. Talking about the pool. Which was huge.

"Mom! I love it!" I said. Walking up to the edge, taking off my shoes and putting my feet in the cold water.

"It's nice to see that your already happy here!" She said with a smile.

"And I think that's all I can show you, my numbers on the fridge if you need anything just give me a call."

"Okay, thank you Jessica." My mom said waving as Jessica left.

"So, ready to start unpacking?" My mom asked.

"Let's do it!" I said. Running back out to the front of the house to the moving truck. I got the the front of the house only to see a group of teenagers standing beside the truck.

"Umm...mom... I'm going to ahh...go back inside.." I said.

"Nope. I don't think so. You need to help me."

"Fine." I said. The teenagers were leaving anyways. Thank god. One of them was cute.

"Finally. That's the last box!" I said. Putting the last box of things that needed to go in the kitchen on the counter.

"Go unpack your bedroom things and have a shower, you look exhausted." My mom said.

"Okay. I'll come down and help later." I said walking upstairs to my bedroom. Which was now filled with boxes. I opened the first box which contained some of my clothes. I walked over to the closet to find out that it was huge

"Woah." I said, as I carried the box in the closet with me. After I had unpacked all of my clothes I found my bathroom things and put them in my own bathroom. I actually had a bathroom. In my bedroom. I put all my makeup under the vanity, and put my hair dryer, straightener and curling irons on the shelf. I put all my shampoos and soaps in the shower and left my bathroom to unpack some more. The next box I opened was filled with my books. The movers helped us bring my bookshelf into my bedroom. After I had placed all the books on the shelves, I found the box that contained all my picture frames. I smiled at the crazy pictures I had with my friends back home. I really miss them. I thought to myself as I placed 3 frames on the top shelf.

Once my room was half unpacked I had decided to finally take a shower. I went to the bathroom, got everything I needed ready and had a nice long hot shower.

"TAYLOR" my mom called out. Once I was dressed and was making my bed.

I walked downstairs to see what she wanted.

"What?" I asked as I walked into the living room.

"Woah." I said. Because there in the living room. Was a huge flat screen t.v

"Wanna help me set this up?" She asked me.

"Mom, it's already set up." I said, turning it on.

"Oh, okay. Thanks dear. We're you going to bed?" She asked me.

"Yeah. I'm kind of tired. I'll see you in the morning. Night mom."

"Night sweetie." She said as I walked upstairs.

I climbed into my new bed, in a new bedroom. In a new house. At a new place.
