Chapter 5

After I had got in my house my phone vibrated.

"Hey(: -Jared"

I smiled at the phone screen and quickly typed a message.

"Hey:)" I had typed.

"Do you know if your coming over yet? -Jared"

"Not to sure, but I'll ask now." I typed back.

"Okay, let me know. -Jared"

"So mom," I said. Leaning up against the door frame like I used to in our old house. " I met a boy today." I said, hardly containing my excitement

"Really?! Is me nice?" My mom said

"Very! He invited me over for dinner tonight" I said

"That's wonderful sweetie! Go get ready! Where does he live?" My mom asked

"Right next door! His names Jared" I said, my mom gave me a look. "So..can I go?" I asked

"Yes. You can go. But put on some nice clothes please." My mom said.

I was already running up the stairs.

I texted Jared and told him I was coming over. I walked out the front door and he was already there. Waiting for me I guess.

"Ready?" He asked me

"As I'll ever be I guess." I said. Smiling a little.

Why am I so nervous around him?? What's wrong with me? He probably has a girlfriend anyways. A good looking guy like Him would have one.

"So, do you have a boyfriend?" He asked me. Breaking my train of thoughts.

"Pardon?" I said.

"I asked you if you uh.. Had a boyfriend. Back where you used to live.." He said. Looking away

"No, but there was this one guy I really liked. And he turned out to like me too. But he told me before I left to come here so it won't really work out.." I said.

"Oh." He said simply.

"What about you? Do you have a girlfriend?" I asked him.

"The only reason I don't is because of one of my friends." He said

"What did they do?" I asked. Curious now.

"It's a long story." He said simply. Again.

"Will you tell me?" I asked

"Later. We're here now." He said.

I didn't realize how close our houses were.

"Mom! We're here! We'll be upstairs!" He called out.

"Okay dear!" His mom called back as we walked up the stairs. His house was something like mine.

We walked into a bedroom. He left the door open.

"This your room?" I asked him.

"You ask a lot of questions! Haha yes this is my room. And if you look out my window, you can see your room." He said.

"Really?" I said getting up off his bed and looking out his window.

"Yes, and a little advice, you might want to close the curtains next time you get changed.." He said.

"Shiiiitt. How much did you see?" I said embarrassed.

"Not a lot sadly. I wanted to see more then what I did. All I seen was a boob. Haha" he said.

"Crap. I can't believe I left my curtains open. I'm so stupid." I said.

"Nah," he said. "So, what do you want to do?"

"Do you have an x-box?" I asked.

"What guy doesn't? Black ops 2?" He said laughing.

"Obviously." I said smiling as I took the other controller from his hand.

"So, Jared tells me that you just moved here. Where from?" Jared's mother asked as we started our supper.

"A places called Forks, you've probably never heard of it.. It's really small." I said.

"Oh, what was it like there?" She asked.

"Well... It rained. A lot. It was hardly ever sunny there. Even now in the summer time. It's under like a constant cover of clouds and rain. I didn't like it there too much. I like the sun..." I said. Trailing off. I was doing it again. That thing I do when I get nervous. I was talking too much.

"Well, I was happy to find out we'd be having new neighbours. Our last ones were an old couple that hated us! And we didn't even do anything to them. I felt so bad for nothing. It was horrible." Jared's mother said."

"I would say! That is horrible. Our neighbours never hated us. My best friend used to live in the house next to mine. His mom and my mom were best friends too. Knew each other since high school. Me and Braden were really close." I said. Shit. What did I tell myself about talking about him? I would not allow it.

"Is he your boyfriend?" Jared asked quickly. Them he started blushing.

"No, he wasn't my boyfriend. And he isn't now. Haha" I said. He smile and relaxed a little about that. Does he have feelings for me? Already? "Well mrs. Bennett. That was delicious. Thank you." I said politely. My mother may not have always been there. But she raised me right.

"Oh please, call me Anne." Jared's mother said.

"Okay." I said with a smile as I stood up to help her clear the dinner table.

"Oh sweetheart you don't have to do that, I'll do it. You go outside with Jared." She said. Taking the plates I had in my hands.

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"I'm 100% sure. Now go!" She yelled playfully. And I ran out the backdoor.
