Chapter 1: May her soul be cured

Betty's POV:

"And she scores! First goal has been made by Betty Mason who plays for the Baldwin Bulls..." The annoying guy who keeps on speaking on the mic almost makes me stumble on the rough park of grass. I'm on the football pitch and I'm playing for the Baldwin Bulls, we're versing the Chasing Rangers. Their team name may be better than my team name but we sure play better than them!

I swiftly slide the ball into the defenders feet. 'Betty! Over here!' I look up to see Andrew calling my name-his space is free- I do a butterfly kick towards him and he catches it with a head-butt. It unfortunately bounces off to the other team. I see Jordan rushing over to get the ball. He kicks the ball towards me-attempts to-fails. Another try. Fails. Another try and I get the ball, I do kick ups and pass the ball to Marcus. He catches it.

There are now thirty seconds left in the game and we're winning by 5-2. Brandon has the ball, he then kicks it over to me and I pass the ball to Andrew, he passes it to me and we start doing the line tactic. There are now twenty seconds left in the game and now we are close to the goalie. "Betty!" I hear someone from the audience call my name but I don't look up. I can't get distracted, loosing this would mean me not getting a scholarship to a great university, like Harvard or Yale or Oxford. I then kick the ball towards the goal-a hard kick- and it goes in!

"Freaking Betty!" I hear the same voice call my name, it's a female voice. Then I look up to the audience but before I could see the person who had shouted my name I feel a hard ball crash against my face and everything goes black. All I hear are people's cheers going silent, people calling my names and someone saying another name: 'Melinda, what on earth did you do?"

Kai's POV:

"Freaking Betty!" I hear someone say from the audience, it's a female voice and it's obviously one of my girlfriends, Melinda. She hates Betty because I play on the Chasing Rangers and I used to date Betty but she cheated on me with her best friend. But like I care- that tomboy has lots of boys crawling up her lips. Actually she has none. That kiss of hers was an accident made by the boy...

Least I hope... But how could I care when I have hundreds of girls crawling up my clothes-if you know what I mean- every night! I'm the hottest boy in school, I have nothing to be worried about I mean look at me!

I then look up at Betty who then looks up at the audience, finally, and then I suddenly see her scream in fear as a hard ball is thrown at her with force-by Melinda. "Melinda, what on earth did you do?" Andrew yells at Melinda putting a middle finger up on her. Melinda pouts, she looks so cute when she does that... especially with the outfit she is wearing today.

Betty then blacks out and begins to fall but then Marcus catches her, I can see his muscles-weakling. I know I'm not supposed to interfere with the opposing team during a match and I know that there is no match right now but like what time do I have to waste when I have a date at half six. I got to go.

God save her from that hit, may her soul be cured.

"So where are we going today, Babe?" A hot blonde girl calls my name as she takes shotgun and Bradley and Codey sit at the back with my little brother, Harry, who is playing with is PS Vita. I look at the blonde as she places her fingers on her hand and strokes it, softly, her hands are so soft. She is wearing so much make-up,- too much for my liking- a white crop top that goes just before her belly button, a black mini skirt and black high heels. Nothing too revealing though...
