Betty's POV:

"5... 4... 3... 2... 1... THUNDERBIRDS-" I hit the alarm clock with force and jumped out of bed. It was 6AM. Why on earth did Grandma buy me a Thunderbirds alarm clock? Was it really such a big hit in her childhood? I twisted my blinds stick and watched as the Sun suddenly beamed through my eyes. Looking at it in awe I started stretching my calf, if I didn't then I'd probably become stiff at soccer.

I take a shower using my Relaxation Gel then I got out of the shower/bath and then slip on my sandals and placed my towel around myself, after rubbing cream on my pale skin and drying my hair I then put on a Chelsea supporter t-shirt and then I wore black jeans. I wore black converses and I tied my hair in a ponytail.

"Mum! I'm up!" I yelled at the top of my lungs, it was our usual routine, she was then supposed to reply saying 'OK, baby. Shall I drop you off at school tomorrow?' Or say something of the sort. But today she didn't reply. Instead I heard a groan come from her room, then a scream and then a gun shot. I scream. What on earth is going on? I looked out of my window: Everything looked peaceful, no one was rushing out in the street or anything. Everything just looked normal.

I lived in a small house-modern folk-so anyone would hear a gun shot. The walls aren't sound-proof. I'm probably hallucinating. One minute I wake up in the morning by the sound of my Thunderbirds alarm, I then open the blinds and try to continue my usual routine but mother doesn't answer, instead I hear a groan.

I call mothers real name. I begin yell, again at the top of my lungs, but this time I creep out on the stairway. This way she'd hear me. "Linda? Can you hear me?" I don't stop myself as my body makes its way towards mothers' room and my hand opens the door to see my father laying on her bed. "F-father? What are you doing here? What have you done with mum? Why are you trying to-" I stopped myself, I knew I underestimated my father so much, he was unpredictable. One minute he would give you a treat and the next minute he'd be fighting you-literally the next minute.

"Why isn't it my only daughter, Betty? Mother has just taken a little nap downstairs, just eat your breakfast and I'll drop you at school." He had a knowing smirk on his face. I looked at his grey eyes and saw no emotion in them. I knew he was lying and that he was going to do something dangerous-or had done so already. I looked at him in disbelief and shut the door behind me. I had to get out of here. In a hurry-without dad.

I rushed out of my house. I almost left a note on the table that said Mother, I'm coming home late after football practice and I'm going to chill with my bro's. See ya! Love you :)

If dad had saw that note... he might have come after me. That would have been awful. I walked over to my garage. Dad doesn't know I have a car yet but if he looks out of the window and see's this car pulling out of the driveway- he might do something. I was going to call the police. Right now.

"Betty!" I started to run, even though I didn't think it was father. I rushed as fast as I could but then I suddenly tripped over. Andrew. It was Andrew. I forgot he had lived nearby. I stood up, tears trickling out of my eyes. "Drew, I need your help!" I let the tears trickle from my eyes as Andrew's hazel eyes began to show such emotion. He was crying too.

"Betty, come ova here and hug me!" He quickly wiped his tears away and I smiled in satisfaction, he cried. I then ran over to him and hugged him tightly. "Is it your dad?"
