Teddy Lupin, Parents And All.

Chapter 2

"Dad! Drive faster! I don't want to miss the train!" Teddy yelled to his father from the backseat of the car on the way to King's Cross station where he would board the train to Hogwarts School.

"Calm down, Teddy; we'll be there soon enough."

"What house do you think I'll be in?" He quickly snapped back at his fathers attempt so calm him down.

"You're such a Hufflepuff, Teddy. I bet you 3 galleons that you'll be in Hufflepuff." his mother answered him

"You're on!" he said back.

"Okay, here we are!"

Teddy oped and closed the door to their car faster than you could say Quiddich.

"Calm down! Why don't you help your father get your trunk out of the car while I get Ollie out of the backseat." his mother said as she opened the door to the old ford door and stepped out onto the chilly pavement. Teddy threw open the trunk of the car and hurled the left side of his trunk out of it and waited anxiously for his father to get the right.

"Well, there's your trunk, and mum's got your owl. You ready?" Teddy's dad told him as he ruffled his aqua hair. He changed it recently, because he wanted to be a little more different, and wanted to show off the fact that he was a metamorphmagus to whomever would listen.

"More than I ever will be." Teddy answered to his dad and set off towards the door of King's Cross Station. The family of three walked silently until they got to the barrier between platforms nine and ten. "So I just need to run right through there?"

"Yup. Want me to go through with you?" his mom said back.

"No, I wanna do this on my own." So Teddy proceeded to grip the trolley holding his trunk and owl, Ollie, closed his eyes, and ran fast as he could into the barrier. The moment he opened his eyes, he found himself in the middle of a busy platform with a large metal sign that said 'Platform Nine and Three-Quarters.' He looked around with wide eyes until his parents came through the barrier after him and put a hand on each of his shoulders.

"You better get your trunk on the train, Teddy, it's five minutes to eleven." His mom started tearing up as she said this.

Teddy replied with the simple, but reassuring sentence "don't worry, mum, I'll be back, I'm sure of it." At that moment, tears of joy started streaming down his mother's face as she hugged him and pressed her cheek against his. Once she let go, his dad did the same. When he let go, he told Teddy to be careful, and to say hello to Professor McGonnagall for him. Teddy boarded the train, and set off to search for a compartment.

'Did you hear about the new candies on the trolley?' 'I heard there's a new herbology teacher trying to sign up.' Teddy heard murmurs and small conversations in other compartments as he squeezed through the tight hallways of the Hogwarts express.

Teddy found a compartment with another first-year boy in it and asked her "Hi. Mind if I sit in?" 

"Sure. Not like there's an absence of space." the boy answered back. "If you don't mind me asking, how is your hair aqua?"

"Oh, I'm a metamorphmagus. By the way, my name's Teddy Lupin." Teddy answered casually.

"Wow! That's so cool! I'm Cormac. Are your parents Dora Tonks and Remus Lupin?"

"Yeah, actually. How did you know?"

"My parents always told me about the battle of Hogwarts in 1998, and about who died and stuff, and what kids were born that year. They got me a book, actually. You were in it, and that your parents, Dora Tonks and Remus Lupin were in it as fighters in the battle. It said that they only had one kid, named Edward "Teddy" Lupin."

"Wow, that's, wow. What house do you think you'll be in?"

"Well, my dad, was in Hufflepuff, and so was my mom, so I'm expecting the same. How about you?"

"My mom think's I'll be in Hufflepuff, but I don't really know myself."

"Anything from the trolley, dears?" The lady who pushed the trolley cart just passed by their compartment.

"Two bottles of pumkin juice, some Bertie Bots' Beans, and two pumpkin pasties, please." Teddy replied as he handed over a few galleons.

"Yeah, you're a Hufflepuff for sure. Thanks!" Cormac answered back as Teddy handed over a bottle of pumpkin juice and a pastie.
