"Tommy... Tommy... wake up... Thomas! Get your lazy ass out of bed!" I groaned and swatted the annoying hand away. The blankets were ripped off of me and a freezing wind rushed over my body.
"Why the Hell is the window open?!" I yelled grasping for the blankets to cover my mostly naked body.
"Tommy!" Nat whined.
"Fine. I'm up. I'm up!" I rolled over and rammed into her. She flailed onto the floor from the impact that may, or may not, have been purposeful. I rubbed my eyes and stumbled over to the window. I shivered and closed it. Nat jumped on my back and I stumbled before falling back on the bad, on top of her. She made an 'oof' sound and we both started laughing. I rolled off of her and my mum walked in.
"What are you two doing?" she asked groggily.
"Sorry, mum, didn't mean to wake you. We were just... uh... messing around."
"I could tell. Please just keep it down until eight." I turned to Nat.
"You woke me up before eight! What is your problem, woman?! You can't just wake a man before his allotted amount of sleep!" I exclaimed. She giggled.
"Sorry, Tasha. We'll be quieter. I didn't mean to disturb you," Nat apologised. Mum just nodded and turned to leave.
"Oh, and Thomas get dressed before you do anymore... 'messing around'." I nodded and she left. Nat giggled and hit my chest playfully.
"Yeah. Get dressed, dummy," she laughed. I never realised how beautiful her laugh was. Never mind that. I grabbed my clothes and pulled them on quickly.
"So... What do you wanna do today?" Nat asked looking bored.
"Well, what do you want to do?"
"I don't know."
"Can I sleep, then?" I asked in faux hope.
"You're just as boring as I remember," Nat joked. It was true. If anyone wakes me before eight, on a normal day, the only thing I can think about is sleep.
"We should go out and do something," she said enthusiastically. My face fell.
"I don't know..."
"C'mon... please. You just wanna stay cooped in this house for six months?"
"No but-"
"Then let's go do something."
"I know but they want me to take security everywhere."
"Who cares? Let's just go. Let's go to the mall or to the cinema or something!" she exclaimed throwing her hands in the air.
"I don't know... I guess."
"Cool. So, the mall, then?" I nodded.
"I'm gonna go tell my mum and get the keys. Then, we can go," I said making my way to my parents bedroom. I heard certain... noises, and decided to leave a note instead. I was quick to scribble a simple but explanatory note before grabbing the keys and heading out.
When we got to the mall it was just opening.
"Okay... so I have money and you're a girl so I'm going to have to approve all purchases. Also, we can't go over the 3,000 dollar budget I set for the next two weeks. That leaves you with about 1,000 for your shopping sprees. So buy wisely. Any sprees you go on add up to 1,000 for the next two weeks." Her eyes bugged out and her jaw dropped. She got a hold of herself and shook her head.
"I couldn't-"
"Well, if you won't buy stuff then I'll either... buy stuff for you, or get in one dollar bills and put it in a car and drove it off a bridge. You choose," I said in fake seriousness. It seemed to work because she shook her head in defeat.
"Fine. You're a weirdo. Let's go."
