The minute i walked into the choir room i could feel everybody watching me.
'Oh hello Lauren, do you want to join the Glee club?', said Mr Shuester.
'Yes please sir', i said.
'Suck up', said a tanned girl with black hair and who was wearing a cheerleader uniform.
'SANTANA!', said Mr Shuester,' that is not how we treat new members of our glee club!'
'Well she will have to audition Mr Shuester', said another girl with brown hair.
'Of course Rachel, would you mind singing a song for us Lauren?', asked Mr Shuester.
'Er, no problem', i replied. I wasn't prepared for this. I could see the girl called Rachel, smirking at me. She knew i wasn't prepared.
'What about 'Rule the world' by Take That?', i asked.
'Take who?' said a boy who had a Mohawk haircut.
'Take That', i said,'they are like, the biggest boy band in Europe'.
'Well i have never heard of them', said Rachel. I had already decided she was the queen bee here and i had also already decided that i did not like her.
'Well maybe you don't have the music repertoire that you thought you had', i replied sharply. Nobody mocked Take That infront of me. They were after all, my favorite band ever!
After i said that the boy with the Mohawk wolf whistled and said,'Ooh i like them spicy!'
'Come on guys, give her a chance',said Mr Shuester,'go ahead Lauren'.
Even though i could feel Rachel glaring at me, i started singing. I sang the whole song without anybody interrupting me. When i was finished i opened my eyes.
Everybody were staring at me. Some were even crying.
'Wow!', said Mr Shuester', Lauren your voice is amazing!'
'Thank you', i said. It was the first time somebody, apart from my family, had told me that.
Immediatly everybody was talking to me, except Rachel.
When i walked out after glee club was over, i finally felt excepted. Then Rachel walked up to me.
'Don't even try to compete with me Lauren, because you will crash and burn'.
'Whatever Rachel, bring it on!'
'Great', i thought, i'm already after making an enemy for myself!'
