She shouldn't have done this, she shouldn't have abandoned him, but she can't let him die for her, not anymore.

As the car takes a left down the road to the nearest town she ponders her plan.

Okay, I got out of hell once, I can do it again. How did I get to hell? Where is it? How do I get Sarah? Gabriel? Satan? I should've asked James, he would've know so much more than me.

Burgundy housetops in the distance and lights glaring in the night shining upon the black Sudan.

Cassandra mindlessly searching for a place to stay the night at, anywhere. House after house she passed, watching the lights go out one by one and people go to bed. Until she sputters to empty in front of a stop light.

"NO! Come on! Please, just a tad further!"

Stubbornly, it makes a squealing sound at her and she hits the steering wheel repeatedly.

"Please, Please, Move!"

Nothing happens but the lights going out and the radio shutting off. Okay so maybe it wasn't running out of gas, but it sure as hell could've been the same.
Cassandra falls back in her seat and closes her eyes to keep in the tears.

"This isn't fair! God, Please! GIVE ME A SIGN! ANYTHING!"

Feeling a little alone and abandoned, she crawls into the backseat and lays down on the ground. Like a hopeless child, she buries her tears into the sleeve of her jacket, and begs for sleep to take her. Silently she closed her eyes and curled more in on herself. She closed herself off from the world to the night.

"Go to sleep...sleep..." she whispers endearingly to herself.

Her body felt like it was drifting, soon enough sleep came and took her away.
