James leads her to his spot at the bar and leans against the bar while she sits in his seat. It was crowded pretty bad tonight.

"So what made you choose this dress?"
He reaches down and touches the soft fabric over her hip. She felt a shiver run down her spin as he ran circles into her hip.

"I liked the lace and old fashion of it," Her eyes looking right into his as he smiles wider.

"Me too," He whispers to her intimately.

"Sir, Miss, What would you like?" The bartender asks them politely.

"Two glasses of red wine, I'll have the steak, You?" He turns to Cassandra.

"Oh, um, I'll have the chicken?"

"Alright, Coming right up," The man smiles as he leaves.

"If you don't like the chicken, we can switch—"

"I'm not picky James," She softly reminds him.

"No...your not."

He couldn't stop smiling at her. She made him one of the happiest beings alive.

"Well, I know I shouldn't bring this up on out date, but what's the game plan tomorrow?" Her voice wondrous.

"Uh, Well I plan on being there by early evening, Then leave That night. Hopefully this can all be resolved," He sighs into the counter with hope.

"I hope so too."

She leans over and grabs ahold of his hand on the bar counter. He gives her hand a squeeze and their drinks arrive at their sides.

"Thanks."

Cassandra takes a sip from her glass and then sets it down as James starts nervously clasping and unclasping his watch. It was sweet to Cassandra, that he was nervous about tonight. She reached over, letting go of his hand, and clasps his watch.

"James...What are you nervous about? We're just eating dinner, then were going to dance, and whatever happens happens after that."

"It's-this-We met here for the first time. It brings back a lot of memories," He looks around the room as if picturing them.

"Tell me."

He turns his eyes in pain back to her.

"I came here in hunt of an incubus, a deadly one, and you walk in with your leather jacket. Intriguing me of course with your stance and clothing. You wore jeans and a rugged brown shirt with sneakers."

"Sounds like me," Cassandra smirks as she turns her head to picture herself.

"You came up to the bar and ordered white wine. Then took a swig of it. A loud scream erupted from the other end of the room and I began to sprint towards the noise. You were running right beside me and it hit me...Your a guardian, but you lost your badge. We found the woman laying on the floor in torture and we had to perform an exorcism. It took a huge toll on you. The incubus tried to transfer into you, but you stayed strong Cass. Then it tried to posses me after we saved the woman. I can still remember you face and voice that day:

"JAMES! NO! NO! YOU CANT LET IT!"

"It's okay, Cassandra, If I die, I die."

"NO! I WONT ALLOW THAT!"

"You're a guardian, time to act like one. Kill me."

"NO!"

"YES CASSANDRA!"

You left my side and grabbed something off of the nearest table. I watched as you also grabbed ahold of the lit candle on the table. You stuck the knife in the flame and then came back to me with both. I could taste the bitterness of the spirit trying to infatuate me. Before I knew it, a brutal burning sensation came from my chest, and then another round. You held your hands over my chest and a stronger burn infused in my cells.

The bitterness left and You were laying over top of me unconscious.
I owed you my life from that point on."

Cassandra's face shocked from the story and almost amazed.

"You did that for me. That's how we met."

Her plate of food in front of her and his on the way.

"I'm glad I could be of service I guess..." She takes ahold of his hand on her thigh.

She takes a bite of chicken while he just got his plate.

"How's the chicken?"

"It's okay, But still good."

"Hmm, try this."

He stabs a small piece of his steak with his fork and she opens her mouth for the piece. James smirks as he slowly puts it in her mouth and she slides it off the fork.

"That's delicious! Man, I should've ordered the steak."

"We still can if you want Cass."

"No! No! It's fine James, it's okay," He smiles as he eats away at his plate.

"Okay."
