Soft quilted blankets pile up on his arms. Then pillows and a sheet.

"Serena, do I really need these many blankets for the couch?"

Her eyebrows arch," Have you slept on my couch before? I think not."

James laughs and smirks to himself as she finishes piling his supplies for comfort.

"Alrighty, that's it, couch is just out there," Serena lightly pats his shoulder.

"Thanks."

"Night James, it's nice to see you," Nathan smiles as Serena joins his side and they disappear into their bedroom.

James walks past the kitchen island, the old style table, and right into the living room. He sets the blankets down on a side table and begins stripping down to his PJ's.

He takes off his gray jacket, and then his jeans. Leaving him in his black shirt and boxers. If it were his house, he would've removed his shirt, but he doesn't want to be rude.

He takes all the decorative pillows off the couch and sets them in a nearby chair. The tan couch's color dying against the dark lighting.

"Hey...Uh, Do you want some help?" Cassandra slips out of the shadows of the hallway and into the light.

Only her white tank top and a pair of Serena's plaid shorts for PJ's. She was breathtaking to James, natural beauty. The night lamp glowing warmly against her skin.

A corner of his lips tug into a smile, "Yes, that would be nice."

She shares a small smile and walks over to him.

James grabs onto the sheet and unfolds it. She grabs one end and he has the other. Together they tuck it into every crease and crevice of the couch.

"So, why did you decide to sleep out here?" A hint of curiosity behind her voice.

He smiles genuinely, "So I wouldn't have to hear your snoring," He teases.

"Shut up," She plays back.

"But if you wanted to lay with my sexy ass, you should now that I'm here all night," He continues.

"You mean flabby ass."

"What? Are you sure? Last time I was sure you said that my—"

"DONT SCAR ME!" His sister's voice echoes through the walls.

They both laugh and continue to dress his bed. James grabs his pillows and sets them down at the end nearest to him. Then lays his blankets down gently. She pulls them neatly across his bed and waits for him to finish.

James takes a step back and takes in their creation, a comfortable bed. He turns his eyes to her and she's watching him.

"Well, I guess that this is goodnight," he pulls her in slowly and brushes her lips with his thumb.

Cassandra shivers at his gentle touch and waits for him to finally close the gap. He lingers, but hasn't really moved any closer.
She keeps her eyes concentrated on him. James leans in and kisses her cheek tenderly.

"What happened to us?" She questions herself.

"Night James," Cassandra pulls away and leaves him to get to bed.
