I woke up today thinking that the most eventful thing that would happen would be our arrival to the city and I would go back to Nar Shaddaa. I guess fate had other plans. We awoke early this morning. I began to feel the affects of poor sleep having had only nightmares since I arrived on this planet. The droid was already powered on and was talking to Master Nycomé about something or other. I turned to my side to see that Nycomé had caught another meal for breakfast. After quickly eating we set off.

I felt something bad in my gut as we walked through the dense jungle. It nagged at my mind. I remembered the technique yesterday and began to put it to practice. The feeling didn't go away. I've had many moments when my gut has told me something, and it's usually right. Nycomé, without looking back, ordered CB to use his radar.

"Why certainly, Master," CB complied as he began to scan the surrounding area.

She turned to look at me. "You can feel it too, can't you?" she asked. I nodded.
"I think we may have some company..."

Just then, out of the corner of my eye I saw something dart from the underbrush. It lunged toward me with blinding speed. I'm not exactly sure how I dodged the ferocious attack. All I knew is I hit the ground hard. I heard something that sounded like a loud buzzing noise, which then mellowed out into a low hum. I glanced up to she Nycomé wielding a lazer sword, one that looked identical to the ones in my nightmare. It was a luscious green.

Nycomé made a single diagonal cut with the blade on the beast, before slamming the animal into a nearby tree. The beast, who resembled a large cat with a singular tooth in the middle of its mouth, was stunned. Nycomé lifted the blade for an overhead strike, and decapitated the cat laying on its side.

The blade retracted back into the hilt. Nycomé turned slowly back to me, and I was fairly certain that my jaw was halfway to the ground. Nycomé then resumed taking point, as if nothing happened.

"Let's get a move on, before another demon cat finds us," Nycomé barked coldly. CB followed right behind her.

I still just stood there, shocked at what I had seen. A part of me believed those blades were just a fabrication of my imagination, but apparently not. I remembered what Nycomé had told me previously, how she and I were linked. I thought it was entirely possible I saw a vision of what she dreamt.

"You coming?" Nycomé asked.

"Uh...yeah," I walked swiftly to catch up.

It struck me only then that I had never formally introduced myself. I knew she was more irritated with the fact we had a bond, but maybe trying to correct my rudeness might have made things slightly better.

"Hey, Nycomé," I started. "I forgot to introduce myself formally. I'm sorry about that. My name is--"

"Vector Ekiam," she said back bluntly.

I was taken aback a little bit. "Yes...how..?"

"We've shared dreams with one another and sensed each others emotions and you wonder how I know your name?"

I felt a little dumb after she said that. "Well, when you put it that way."

I don't think I was in any better standing with her. Thankfully we arrived to the city shortly. The city was just outside the jungle, on rocky terrain near mountains. There were even relatives of what looked like jawas.

We found a cantina near the entrance of the city.

"Here," Nycomé handed me a bag of credits. "This will get you to Nar Shaddaa. Goodbye, and may the Force be with you."
