"Here's your room key!" The lady at reception said cheerfully. "If you need anything, call down to reception, and ask for Mirajane. That's me." I was given a red key card.
"Ah. You're in Room 69. It's the second floor suite." She told me.
"I'm sorry, I don't have the money to pay for that." I protested. "I only payed for a single room."
"Oh no, don't worry about it. As our ten thousandth customer, you get the special suite!"Mirajane clapped her hands in excitement. "Breakfast is all inclusive of course! You can come down between 6am and 12pm, for it. Of course, the suite has a kitchen too, if you want to cook your own food."
"Thank you." I smiled happily. A luxury room in the centre of Cornwall, where I could visit anywhere I wanted. Life was good!
I pushed my headphones on and blasted the music into my ears. I grasped the handle of my suitcase and made my way up the stairs. I finally reached the second floor, and stood outside the room. I stared at the dark wooden door and the brass handle. The number was a gleaming gold. There was a slot for the key card, and I inserted it, feeling the vibration it made as it opened the door. I put my hand around the handle, and slowly opened the heavy door.
The first room was a living room. The tv was massive, and had a stack of DVDs next to it. There were two plush armchairs and one sofa. In the centre was a coffee table. Finally, there was a bookshelf, which I immediately made my way over to, letting go of the handle of my suitcase. I quickly scanned their spines before returning to the doorway. I took off my shoes and placed them by the door, then hung up my coat. I saw a man's suit jacket hung up, and some smart black shoes arranged underneath them. Maybe they were left behind, or spares? I shrugged it off, making a note in my mind to ask Mirajane about them later.
I tugged my suitcase through to the bedroom, hauling it onto the bed and starting to unpack. Moving around made me feel warm, so I pulled off my t-shirt. I piled the clothes onto the bed, making sure that everything was organised before I moved to put them away. I opened the drawer and made a small noise. There were already clothes put away. I heard a creak behind me and I turned around.
A man was standing there. He was holding a towel around his waist, but it silently fell to the floor in his shock. I made a small noise, like a choke, and stared at his naked body, as he stared at my breasts. I could feel my face slowly changing from one of confusion to absolute shock and horror as a blush made its way up from my neck to my face. I turned away quickly. My hands shaking, I removed my headphones and heard the man clear his throat.
"What are you doing in my room?" He asked. I glanced around for my top, trying not to look at him. I shuffled over towards the bed, giving him access to the drawers.
"Um. Mirajane gave me a key for this room." I said.
"What the hell?" The man said.
"I'm sorry, I'll go and change rooms." I mumbled, turning around to look at him.
"Damn right you will." He said.
I quickly made my way to the door, pulling on the handle. It wouldn't open. I grabbed my key card and went to put it in. There was no slot. I stared at the door, confused, for a few seconds before trying it again.
"It won't open." I said, becoming aware that he was behind me.
"Let me try." He said roughly, pushing me out the way. He pulled on the door, then tried pushing it. He jiggled the handle, but it wouldn't budge.
"What the fuck?" He cussed. I took a step back from him. He continued trying to open it. Then, he took a few steps back and tried ramming the door. It didn't work. Suddenly, Mirajane's disembodied voice floated through the suite
