"Are you sure you want to stay?" Natsu asked. I smiled at him.
"Yeah. I came here to write my novel, and I haven't written much." I tucked my hair behind my ear. "I'm definitely staying." Natsu glanced over at his secretary, who was tapping her foot impatiently. His phone beeped, and he glanced at it.
"I have to go." He picked up his suitcase, and quickly kissed me on the lips. "I'll call you later, OK?" I nodded, and watched him as he got into the car. I raised my hand, but his phone was already to his ear and he didn't see it. Slowly, I turned and walked into the hotel.
Mira was waiting for me, I could see the big grin present on her face, it was hard to miss, and I gave her a small smile back.
"You two are so cute together!" She said.
"Thank you," I said, "For everything, I know we barely know each-other, but he makes me really happy, and it's because off you." Mira grinned back.
"No need to thank me. It's a hobby. Besides, the method was slightly... unorthodox." I chuckled, before going back up to my room, opening up the laptop and typing. I glanced at my phone, when would Natsu call? I sighed, best not to dwell too much on it. I'm sure he'll call when he could. I looked around the room. It was a normal one, since Mira needed the suite for her next victims, I mean guests.
Three hours later, I went downstairs. Still no calls. Mira was mopping the floor of the bar, and she spotted me as soon as I entered.
"Hey. Feeling hungry?"
"Understatement of the year." I laughed. "I'm starving."
"Has Natsu called you yet?" Mira leaned on her mop.
"No, not yet." I sighed. "I'm sure he's just really busy right now. I mean, you did lock him in a room for a month." Mira smiled sheepishly.
"Sorry 'bout that." She tidied up and went behind the bar. "What would you like?" I ordered a burger and lemonade, and sat down to wait for it. Mira came with the food and I started eating. As I was taking a massive bite of the burger, my phone vibrated. Quicker than humanly possible, I had pulled it out of my pocket and pressed the button.
"Hey." Natsu's voice came from it.
"Hey." I choked out, desperately trying to chew and swallow my burger.
"Are you alright?" I gulped it down.
"Yeah, I was just eating a burger."
"Sorry I didn't ring earlier, I was really busy." He apologised.
"That's OK. I understand." We chatted for a few minutes before I heard his secretary call him, and he had to go. I sighed as I put the phone down, resuming my lunch. I knew it wouldn't be easy, but I thought I'd be able to handle it a bit more. I mean, he was an adult, he ran a business, he couldn't pander to my needs 24/7. I finished off and went back to my room.
My laptop was open on the bed, and I stared at it for a good twenty minutes before starting to type. Ten seconds later I erased the words. The pattern kept on repeating. I slumped backwards, throwing an arm over my face. I got up, and started pacing around. Why was I so restless? I glanced over at the window. Outside, the sea was crashing against the beach, hundreds of people in the sea and on the sand. I pulled out my bikini, deciding to head down. May as well keep busy.
The wind blew my hair around as I dipped my foot into the sea. To my right were two small blue haired girls, hunting for shells. A pink haired girl ran up, triumphantly holding a large pink shell. The girls stared it excitedly. The older of the three looked over at me.
