chapter 9

she was gone, Lily was gone... 

where was she? what happened?

i looked over to Dane who was in the corner of the cell with his head in his hands 

'' w-what happened Dane?'' i asked slumping on the floor next to him

''i don't know, one minute she was here then.... then she was being dragged out, i-i tried to s-stop them'' he whispered, his voice hoarse and broken. we sat in silence from then, i didn't know what to say and i was too busy thinking of 

lily and if she was okay.

i heard the door open and something being dragged, oh no i thought. 

soon the two guards appeared smirking evily at us through the cell, behind them they held Lily by the upper arm. 

' please say she will be okay' 

' i don't know, she doesn't look to be breathing' i wolf replied sadly.

Lily's body was thrown carelessly into our cell by the two guards. i couldn't help but gasp... but then something stirred inside me, filling my entire body...

Pure rage, you know that fury that builds up and up just waiting to be released? the hatred for one person so strong that you want to burn them then rip them to pieces, the anger that had been building up waiting for that one trigger to explode , lily was that trigger.

i felt my blood boil and my wolf wanting blood, the blood of my boss..

The cage rattled furiously and my hair raised off my shoulders and back, the look of fear from the guard as they watched.

Dane went crazy when he saw Lily's lifeless body, she had been beaten and tortured, her death was a sharp cut to the neck. Dance at first cried then, well something snapped in his head, his eyes turned black and i knew his wolf had taken over. before i could blink Dane had shifted and was charging to the guards, sadly the guard were ready and shot his back leg. they wouldn't kill me, the loss of your mate was more than enough torture and death would be the only thing Dane wanted.

Dane laid in the corner of the cell banging his head against the cold brick wall, i winced at each hit but i couldn't stop him, he would only attack me.

me, i sat and waited, for once i was calm. i had my plan figured out ............

the next day when i woke, i stretched and did my routine of exercises with renewed vigor. i was getting out for here today. 

when the guards came, i followed them to the house without a sound, not one peep. i got to the room i get changed in everyday for school and found the outfit for the day set out as usual. it was a simple tank top with a hoodie and jeans with gym boots (converses).

i got changed quickly and went back down stairs where trey was waiting impaitently, without saying a word he walked out of the house, i followed him to the car and got in.

the ride to school was short and i couldnt help but smile when i saw it

i was escaping today and school was the best place.

''the hell you smiling for'' trey spat

'' its just a good day'' i replied with a shrug

'' your friend was killed yesterday and your smiling? you have something seriously wrong with you'' he sneered and got out of the car and storming into the school.

i got out and went to my locker to get my art book, then walking to art for my first period. i walked in and sat near the front so i could exit quickly,drawing in my book as i waited for my teacher to get half way through the lesson, as soon as the clock hit 9:30am i put my hand up, interupting the lesson.

'' what?'' my teacher asking glaring at me 

'' could i go to the bathroom'' i asked then leaned forward loudly whispering " i reeaallyy need to go"

my teacher sighed and motioned for me to go, i quickly stood and exited the room 

'phase one complete' i thought

i moved through the corridors quickly and quietly as soon and i reached outside i sprinted to the treeline of the woods, i got behind a tree and stripped myself of my clothes before shifting , i felt my bones pop into place then i picked up my clothes in my mouth than ran...

not too long into the run i heard a howl.... no doubt from trey... this just made me push myself harder 

i ran for what seemed like a few hours before i heard paws behind me....

Rin POV

i was in pe when i saw my mate, Aluance, sprinting to the treeline of the forest, not too long after i saw trey, he looked furious. he headed for the treeline as well.

'our mates in trouble' my wolf said , just as he said that i heard treys howl, it was an alam but one to kill.

i quickly ran to where i last saw them and shifted mid air into my almost pure black wolf with one paw white and followed treys sent... 

i soon caught up and what i saw made my eyes bulge and i was actually scared for trey.....
