Chapter 8

Alu,

i stood in front of the bosses desk, i could tell he was furious, the vein in his forehead looked as it would pop, his tomato red face was reading to kill someone and he gripped the table with such force that it could easily snap like a twig when you step on it. i was scared for not only my life but Lily's and Dane's as well, i was hoping that they were okay, i don't know what i'd do if i was the cause of their deaths.

'' Aluance, i hear you have found your 'mate''' boss said through clenched teeth, he was now visibly shaking '' i hope you don't plan on escaping with him, i don't want to have to kill your cell mates'' he sneered

''n-no sir, i fear you are mistaken, i have not found my mate'' i lied, hoping i could keep him from exploding

''DON'T LIE YOU COW!'' he screamed at me, standing up he marched over and grabbed my upper arm, gripping my arm so tightly it hurt, he smelled of alcohol and smoke, it made me want to throw up. '' do you know who your little mate is?'' he spat in my face

''n-no sir'' i whimpered, i hated not being able to do anything, Ive got to much to lose

'' hes the son of the alpha of the Sliverpine pack, the neighbouring pack that spotted you'' he growled, i was frozen, no not an alpha, that means he will try harder.

'' i-I'm s-s-sorry, i didn't know'' i whispered

''get back to your cell and don't you dare talk to your mate tomorrow, if i find out you have, there will be trouble'' he walked back to his desk but not before he turned around and punched me, i wasn't ready for it and i knew id get a black eye for at least day. '' take her to the cell'' he yelled at his men.

the quickly scrambled hauling me up off the ground and took me to the cells, you could smell the blood as soon as you got 5 feet away from the entrance, this wasnt good.

when i got to the cell i was relieved to see Lily and Dane, but i saw they were bloody and bruised.

''god what happened'' i asked quickly, they stared at me with wide eyes, like they were surprised i was alive

'' i.. heard you found your mate'' Lily was the first to say anything, she had a black eye and her pretty face was bruised, she had a spilt lip and cuts along her arms, she looked horrid.

''uh... yeah but that's not the point, what happened?'' i said running a hand through my hair.

'' the came in rambling about you finding your mate and they beat us'' Dane said angrily, i gasped then my surprise turned to anger... i am getting out of here!

lily was next to say anything '' get out of here Alu while you still can'' she pleaded. i didn't know what to think or do so i just sat leaning against the wall

i laid in bed thinking about my beautiful mate and if she was okay, i told my father i found her and he quickly questioned me , i answered as much i could, i knew my father was suspicious of the neighbouring pack that she belonged to, and now i made that suspicion worse, i knew he would be investigating and i just wondered what would happen..

Alu

when i got to school the next day i knew i had a black eye and everyone saw it, i couldn't do much about it, i just sighed and kept walking to my first class, Macy wasn't here so i was alone which i was grateful for. people asked why i had a black eye but i just shook my head, not wanting to answer.

i went to the lunch room and sat down eating my lunch in peace when i caught a familiar smell... the smell of my mate, this cant be good. i looked up and saw him, he had shaggy dark brown hair that made his gold eye even brighter, he was tall and well build, hell he was hot. i hide my eye behind my hair.

'' uh.. yes?'' i asked 

'' how did you get a black eye, your a wolf, whoever did it would need to hit your very hard'' he replied smoothly

'' none of your business so please leave me alone'' i said looking down at my food.

''i will find out'' he said and walked away, he was respecting me? he did what i asked? wow...

i continued my lunch in peace
