Paige was no more then 6 years old, when she first met Drop Dead Fred.
Paige was sent to her room, because her parents were fighting again. She sat on her bed crying, when someone appeared infront or her.
"Why are you crying" the little girl wiped her eyes, and looked at the funny looking man infront of her.
"Mommy and Daddy are mad" The man jump up, and landed on the bed beside her.
"Well don't cry about it, I know what will make up feel better." The little girl smiled at him.
"What" The man laught while he picked his nose, and wiped it on the little girls face. The little girl laught as she did the same to him.
"Little girl what is your name?" The man asked
"Paige, Paige Amber." The man jump back up and began jumping on the bed, and the little girl did the same.
"Paige, I'm going to call you Snot Face." The girl stop jumping for a moment to ask this man a question.
"What whats your name?" The man stopped jumping, and answered her.
"Drop Dead Fred, but you can call me Fred." Fred looked down at Paige, and saw the most beautiful smile that he has ever seen.
"Hey lets play a game" They jumped down off the bed,
"Yeah what game" Fred thought a little then an idea popped in his head.
"Hide and seek" Paige's face lite up, and she agreed.
"Me and you are on the same team" she stated with excitement,
"Yeah and your parents on the other, come on lets go hide." Fred went to Paige's window opened it and climbed out the window, helping Paige every step of the way.
"Now Snot Face were are we going to hide" Fred and Paige looked at the dark back yard, when Paige saw what she thought was the best hiding spot.
"Fred the tree"
"Great idea, lets go." Fred jumped down first then caught Paige, and they rushed into the tree. As Paige layed on Fred in the tree, she began to fall asleep.
"Fred" she said in a tired voice, and Fred looked down at her.
"Yeah Snot Face"
"Your my best friend" Fred smiled, and put out is pinky finger.
"Promise" she grabbed his pinky figure with hers and promised, then fell into a deep sleep.
The next morning she woke up in her bed, and soon after she woke up her now best friend showed up.
"Fred!" She yelled, jumping up on the bed. Fred smiled and thew his arms in the air.
"Snot Face!" Paige then jumped into Freds arms.
"Let play a game"
