The Power of Love

There were only four pills left in the bottle Paige now held close to her heart. Fred knew if Paige finishes all four of the pills he would die. He tired to get through to Paige, but with every word was two more pills. Fred never truly left Paige alone as she thought, but instead he watched her from afar. He saw how much she beat herself up over anything, and how much she harmed herself. At this point he cared more for Paiges life than his own, he could of left her alone and she wouldn't have a reason to take the pills. However, he knew the consequences of living Paige alone thinking no one is trying for her. Fred sat on Paiges bed, waking for her to get far away from Mega Bitch. He tried to think of something or anything that would make Paige listen to him. 

The door slowly open, and Paiges eyes started at the ground. She hadn't noticed Fred waiting for her. Fred got up and walked to be right in front of Paige. "Paige, I ha..." Paige walked right through Fred. The feeling was haunting, Fred nearly collapsed. 'She talked right through me' he thought, 'thats never happened before'. Fred looked at Paige frightened. "Paige?" Paige turned to look at Fred. There was no light in her eyes anymore, and without thought she grabbed two more green pills and swallowed them. 

Fred felt the sudden pain all to well and shot to the floor, moaning in pain. Fred went into like a fetal position grabbing at his stomach. When Paige saw that Fred didn't disappear she went to take another pill. Freds life seemed to flash before him, but it was strange. Only memories of him and Paige filled his mind. 

"I remember when I first meet you" Paige stopped lifting the last of the pills to her mouth, "I thought you had the most beautiful smile, that i've ever seen". Paige remember back to that day, she was only 5 and her parents were in a heated argument again. "And you still do" Paige began to cry, her emotions bursted through her. "Paige, please don't cry. You have such a smile that fill a whole room with happiness. Please don't ever hide that." Paige went to her knees, she dropped the pills,

"Fred I'm so sorry" she cried, but all Fred could do was smile at her. He tried his best to lean up, but he was very weak. 

"Come here, I got you" Fred held himself up with one arm, and and the other one wide open for Paige. Paige scooted closer to Fred and went into his arms, but she couldn't feel him anymore. He was like a ghost in her touch. She looked into Freds eyes, heartbroken, wanting to feel his sweet gentle touch again. Fred smiled, but the smile held pain. He tried to wipe Paiges tears away, but nothing happened and the tears continued streaming down her face. 

Even though they couldn't feel each others touch, Fred leaned to Paiges forehead and gave her a kiss. Fred smiled again and laid back down on the ground. Paige cried at the gesture, and laid down with him. They laid there in a way holding each other, and comforting each other. Paige fell asleep in Freds arms, but Fred was wide awake. He smiled down at Paige, her smile lifted his soul, and he slowly started to disappear.
