A/N: for any of you that might be confused.. the last chapter is placed 1 year and 9 months before Poppy ended up in Harry's doorstep and these letters are memories he was thinking of. At that time. And Poppy was in that mental institution for a little more than 2 years.

Seeing her at his doorstep made him shiver. It made his whole body burn. With love.

He stared at her intensely. He wasn't sure how to react. Until she spoke again.

"Look, I think I have the wrong address." She scanned his face and realized he hadn't moved. "I'm just gonna go." She started walking away, trying to control her emotions, not running into him like he was the reason she lived. He couldn't possibly want her there.

That's when he reacted. "No! Wait." He reached for her arms and stopped her. Her arm burned when he touched her. She turned around and looked at him again. He opened the door fully. "Come in." Poppy looked at him unsure. And he half laughed. "You can trust me."

She wasn't sure what reaction she would get. Or if she should trust him ever again. He betrayed her trust.

But is was when she saw adoration in his eyes that she knew she could twist and hurt him in every way he hurt her.

So she said the words that would hurt the most.

"I don't think I really know you."

Harry's face crumbled

"My name is Harry." He said quietly. Poppy tried to seam unaffected, but she could only hope her acting was as good as she wished.

The words turned around in his mind. Crumbling every part of his being. He wanted to see a good side in her not remembering him.  He just couldn't find it.

She was sitting on the stool next to the counter, still playing dumb. Like she didn't remember.

"So, if you don't mind me asking... how do we know each other?" He stared at her after hearing that. His heart clenched. He motioned for her to sit on his sofa and she did, after adjusting her dress.

"Um we've known each other for years. We come from the same town. We used to be best friends." He said and she furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.

"I don't remember home." Was the only thing she said after that. Her dark soul smiled back at her.

"I'll remind you." He came closer and he tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear. Making her heart race at how close he was. "Because there was a reason you where in that place." He cupped her face in his hands and stared into her soul. Her heart pounded. She knew she should take his hands off her. He's only making this harder. "But you're better now. Do never worry."

'If you only knew.' She thought to herself

Did that hurt your heart or only mine? Just asking. I'll give you more background story on them soon. So you can actually feel emotions.
