He gave me directions to this place and I found that the way he was taking me was odd.
"Uh... Seriously where are we going?" I asked him, confused.
"It's a surprise, Pam."
I forget... Why did I give into him so easily?
Then I looked into his eyes and sighed.
That's why.
I turned my head and got my eyes back on the road.
"Take a left here," he directed.
"But there's no road her--"
"Just do it!" He interrupted.
I turned on the non-road. Up ahead, it looked like there was a small cottage. He told me to stop, so I parked the car.
It seemed as if the cottage was near the edge of a cliff, a perfect place to sit and watch a sunset.
"Cameron.... This is perfect," I sighed, looking at the scenery below,"Just absolutely perfect!"
He smiled that arrogant smile of his.
"I know," he said. It reminded me of a Star Wars scene where Han was about to freeze or whatever and Leia was all like "I love you" he was all like "I know".
Did I get side-tracked?
"So... What are we gonna do?" I asked.
"What do you want?"
"Well, I'm kinda hungry."
"Good, there's a lot of food in the fridge I need to get rid of. Come in."
We walked to the front door of the cottage and he slowly creaked the door open.
"After you."
I walked in first and looked around the small room.
"Bathrooms are down this hall, make a right. The fridge is in the little cabinet here-" he explained and opened the cabinet,"- and here's the list of what channels are what for the tv. If you have any questions just let me know."
Every inch, every freaking inch if this place is perfect.
"Is... This your place?" I asked.
"Yup." He replied.
I slowly walked over to the couch, admiring the soft cushion and sat down.
Then I grabbed the remote and flipped through the channels.
"Still hungry?" He asked.
"Am I!!" I jumped up and opened the fridge and oh my god.
It was like food heaven.
I grabbed as my good as possible and went back to the tv.
When Camerom saw me, he laughed.
I flipped through the channels and landed on How I Met Your Mother.
Best. Show. Ever.
But just ten my phone started to ring.
"Turn the tv down. We have to pretend we are at the library," I demanded. Then I answered it.
"Hello?"
"It's me." The voice replied.
I laughed.
"It's your mother. How's it going at the library?"
"Fine. Thanks for calling! By--"
"You're not at the library."
"Uhhhhhhhh....."
"You're with Cameron at a small cottage near a cliff."
"Uhhhhhhhhh.... How did you-"
"KNEW IT!"
"Are you stalking me?" I asked.
"Look out the window."
I turned my head to the left and saw my mom staring at me through the window. I screamed like I've never screamed before.
"WHY ARE YOU STALKING ME?" I asked.
"Because it's a mother's job."
I hung up. I couldn't take this.
"Cam, is there a room with no windows?"
"The only one and its a bedroom next to the bathroom," he replied.
Then I stormed that way.
