Ch.13 Prison Based

"I gotta say, first Rajan, then the Cooper Gang, and now you. Priceless... It's kinda funny how easy it was to play you, Rae-Rae." Mira chuckled.

"You can't play someone if they didn't trust you to begin with, Mira, and what did I say about calling me that?" Rae countered, her mask having been removed.

"Touché."

Rae rolled her eyes. "I suggest you start digging."

"Hmm?"

"Once I get out of the Contessa's sorry excuse for a prison, I'll make sure your death is slow and painful, or maybe I should make you suffer in prison while you rot, I haven't quite decided yet, you wretched slut..."

"Oh? And who's the one in chains again?" Mira smirked.

"Really? Have you seen what you're wearing? At least I have my dignity, but I guess you're too simple-minded to really know what that is, huh?"

Mira glared. "Tch... Of course you'd say something like that... You haven't changed..."

Rae suddenly grinned slyly. "What, no snarky remark?" She chuckled. "You certainly haven't changed, and neither has your dimwittedness."

The rabbit growled, causing Rae to chuckle again. "Oh, I'm sorry, did I strike a nerve? I see you still have your short temper too, huh, Mimi?"

"Shut the hell up!" Mira snapped, the fox laughing at her sudden outburst.

"Oh God, if you get worked up over petty taunting, I can't wait to see what you do when the real show begins."

"Tch... Good luck trying to escape the Contessa's prison because you'll never get out of there with your sanity intact, no one has."

"You seem to forget who you're talking to, Mira. I'm the Black Rose and no prison has kept me, so this will be no different."

"It's a maximum security fortress."

"And that hasn't stopped me before, now has it? You see, every prison has one crucial flaw."

"And what might that be?" Mira crossed her arms over her chest.

"There always an exit, even if no one can see it."

Mira growled, narrowing her eyes. "I'll see to it you never escape."

Rae chuckled. "Good luck, because no matter how tight security is or how many eyes you keep on me, I will still find a way out, and when I do, I'm coming after both you and that leopard, Neyla."

"I'll believe it when I see it, but until then, you'd better hope you can last, especially since not many have."

"I won't be in there more than a week tops, if that. I will escape sooner or later, so you'd best sleep with one eye open."

Mira rolled her eyes, causing Rae to smirk. "You've known me for years, Mira, and you've seen that I'm fully capable of murder without a second thought, so what makes you think I won't do the exact same thing to you?"

"Because I've known you for years. We used to be friends, remember?"

"That's right, "used to," but you're forgetting one crucial detail: Don't forget why I despise you in the first place. It's because of you I was forced to wear this mask, but don't worry, you'll get exactly what you deserve soon enough. Karma is a real bitch, Mira, and you're gonna find out why once I get my hands on you."

She rolled her eyes. "Then I'd like to see that happen."

"Very well then. First, I'll end Neyla and make sure you watch the whole damn thing before I have you join her shortly after."
