The four sat in that battery, neither of them saying anything. Rae just sat there in silence, remembering the time back when she was still working with Mira, before she turned on her.

-Flashback-

Two figures ran along the rooftops, both police cars and thugs after the pair. They panted hard, trying to find some way to escape all of them before they were caught. Suddenly though, one of the figures grabbed the other by the wrist and leapt down to the ground, landing in an alleyway. The two then used this to help their escape, using the various turns and corners like a maze before finally settling in one spot. Both panted hard, trying to keep quiet as they pressed their backs against the wall, waiting. Soon enough though, those thugs chasing after them ran past their hiding spot, both giving a low sigh of relief. When the coast was finally clear, they came out of the alleyway, before one of the figures punched the other on the arm.

"Ouch! Why'd you do that, Rae!?"

"Because it was your fault we were in that mess just now, Mira! You're lucky they didn't catch up to us and that I'm quick on my feet."

"And that's why we're partners!" She smiled.

Rae gave an irritated sigh. "I told you to quietly sneak in, crack the safe, and steal the money, not announce your presence."

"I didn't! I snuck into the office and cracked the safe, but by the time I did, boss man decided to crash the party and walked in on me! It's not my fault!"

"It is because I told you he was coming..."

"You did?" Mira reached up and removed her earpiece. "Ohhhh..."

"What?"

"Sorry, but I must've forgot to turn my earpiece on." She smiled, the fox glaring, punching her in the arm again. "Oww! Stop doing that!"

"You can be a real idiot sometimes, you know that?"

"So I forgot to turn my earpiece on, but we still got the money and got away unharmed, so I would call this a win."

"Only because I know what to do in situations like this." She replied. "God, I swear... If you didn't have me, you would've been caught by now, because right now, you're not a very good thief..."

"Hey! I take offense to that!"

"You were supposed to..." The fox said harshly. "Let's just get outta here..."

-A Couple Years Later-

The two ran, leaping across rooftops with cops trailing behind them. They had just robbed a pretty well-known mob boss and were close to escaping unnoticed, until Yuno accidently set off the alarm. Now they were on the run, trying to get away from the mobsters tailing them.

Mira suddenly gave a laugh. "Was that easy, or what?"

"It would've been easier had you not set off the alarm because you can't walk on your own two feet." Rae replied irritably.

"Ah, so we got a little held up! Nothing we can't fix!"

The fox just rolled her eyes as they continued running, until they leaped down into an alleyway, the crooks dashing right past them. When the coast was finally clear, the two gave a sigh of relief. "Finally... I was getting a little tired of running." Said Mira.

"Yeah, but you're just pretending to be a cop, so you clearly don't get out that much like I do. The first thing about being a thief is learning how to run long distances, and the second is getting a job done without getting caught."
