Beep! Beep! Beep! That was the sound of my alarm clock going off. It was 6:01 a.m. I was still really tired and wanted to go back to bed, but I also really wanted to go to school to see him. By him, I mean Daniel Portoff. I have had a crush on him for quite some time, but I've never actually had enough courage to talk to him. I finally threw off the covers and got up. I walked over to my closet and picked out a pink oversized knit sweater with some black leggings and cute brown Ugg boots. I hoped that today I could catch Danny's eye if I curled my ashy brown hair and wore a little extra makeup to make my green eyes pop, so I turned on my 5 Seconds Of Summer playlist and did my hair and makeup. Right as I finished, my mom yelled to me.
"Kayla, breakfast is ready!"
"Okay mom, I'll be down in a sec!"
I quickly studied myself in my full body mirror once more to make sure I looked okay, then grabbed my backpack and phone off of my bed, put on my shoes and socks, and bolted down the stairs. Suddenly, the aroma of juicy bacon and buttery toast filled the air. My mouth started watering. While I was eating, my IPhone buzzed. It was a text from my best friend, Paul.
Paul: Good morning :)
Me: Good morning :P
Paul: Do you want to walk to school together?
Me: Sure.
Paul: Okay, I'll be there in 10 minutes.
Me: Mkay
