After our make out session, I looked at the time on my phone.
"It's about 1:45. We should probably start heading back to school so our parents can pick us up after school, and they won't know that we ditched the rest of school."
School ends at 2:45.
"Okay, great idea." Paul said.
We started walking back to school. Today started off terrible, but the rest of the day was amazing. To be honest, I am kind of starting to develop feelings for Paul. He always seems to make me happy in a way no one else can. While we were walking, I noticed Paul staring at me. He saw that I noticed and he looked down and started blushing. We arrived at school. It was 2:40.
"Want to walk home instead of being picked up?" Paul inquired.
"Sure, I'll let my mom know." I said.
I pulled out my iPhone and texted my mom, letting her know that we were going to walk home instead of being picked up. She was okay with it.
The bell rang, the doors opened, and teenagers piled out of the school, just urging to do something better with their life other than school. Paul and I started walking to my house. He was going to walk me to my house, and then walk home to his house. We approached my house.
"Thank you for today, Paul. It really helped me take my mind off of things."
"Anything for my best friend, I'd do anything to see you happy" Paul answered.
The same butterfly feeling returned in my stomach. He said bye, kissed my cheek, blushed, and walked away.
I unlocked the front door with my house key. My mom was inside sitting on the couch.
"How was your day, honey?"
"My day was amazing."
"Wow, who knew school could be so exiting." Mom stated with a surprised look on her face.
I wasn't planning on telling her that I barely was even at school. She would get so mad.
I walked upstairs, put my bag on my floor, took my shoes off, and just lay on my bed thinking about today. I think I am in love with Paul, and I am just now realizing that...
