Chapter 16: The Truth Comes Out

Justin's P.O.V.

Well here I am sitting on my bed with Ally next to me ready to tell her the truth.

For some reason I trust her with this. As much as I don't like her but at the same time I do and just want to get at her I'm trusting her to keep this a secret.

"Uhm, my parents split when I was only 10 months old and I didn't see him as much my mom practically raised me on her own with my grandparents help. That's pretty much what Down to Earth is about. The only contact I have with him now is a check in the mail every now and then." I shook my head.

Taking a deep breath and swallowing. "You see almost each song has a reason on why I wrote it. Life was hard for me and my mom. When I write my music its cause I just need to relieve some stress or I just get inspired all of a sudden." It was getting a little easier telling her.

"I can't let people know that I do this. People think that my life is so perfect but its not. I'm so great full to be blessed with this house, my clothes, everything I have now that I wasn't able to have when I was a kid."

Why am I opening up to her? I don't know.

"Believe it or not I used to get teased in school when I was younger. My mom worked two jobs, went to food banks because it was just to hard for us. Now, everyone expects me to be perfect, that I have everything. You think I don't here those rumors that go around about me? I do. Sometimes I just want to leave and be alone, do what I love."

I went quiet for a second, "I'm sorry uh y- you should leave its getting late."

Finally speaking after listening to everything I just said "No Justin you don't have to apologize. Uhm I'm sorry for forcing you to tell me all of this its none of my concern."

She didn't force me though. I willingly agreed to tell her I could have easily said 'no' but I didn't.

"You didn't force me I wanted to tell you. I could have easily said 'no' but I didn't so you shouldn't have to apologize." She was about to respond when a knock came from my bedroom door.

"Justin sweetie--oh sorry I didn't know you had company Jazzy didn't mention anything. I'll just talk to you after."

"No no its fine I was just leaving anyways-"

"Would you like to stay for dinner actually I'm just finishing up?" Did my mom just invite her to eat with us?

"Uhm no thank you I don't want to be a bother."

"Don't be silly come on you and Justin can help setup the table." Oh great.

Allys P.O.V

Great.

We began walking down the stars into the dining table ready to set it up.

"Sorry about my mom."

"No its fine I don't mind. Its not like I have anything better to do."

"So, you really want to stay?"

Smiling up at him "Of course." I wasn't lying I really was kinda happy to stay for dinner. Gives me a chance to hear all the embarrassing stories about Justin.

We were all finished up eating dinner and now we're just enjoying a piece of chocolate cake.

"So sweetie how did you and Justin meet?" Pattie had asked

I glanced at Justin,"Lets just say that it wasn't what I was..expecting"

"Oh really?"

"Yeah, but I'll always remember it that's for sure."

"I remember when Justin was younger he would always bang on a chair or on something so I decided to get him a set of drums when he was two. He was always playing something."

Wow that surprised me. "Oh really?"

"Yeah. He play-" She was cut off by Justin.

"Uh mom I don't think you should talk about it."

"Aw come on Justin I would love to here about how you were when you were younger." putting my most innocent look on my face.

"I really-" Jazzy cut him off this time.

"Aw Bieber please. I really want to know also." She was so adorable.

"But like I was saying he plays the piano, guitar, drums, trumpet "

"Plays? So then he still plays?"

"Yup, and he sings also. sometimes he'll sing me to sleep" Jazzy adds in.

"No that's not-" He tried to cover it but we all know the truth

"Its okay Justin," I give him a smirk and He let out a breath.

Checking the time I see that its getting late. "I should really get going. But thank you so much Pattie it was delicious." Oh and it was. Haven't had a meal like that in a while.

"Oh okay. Well it was really nice having you here and I hope to see you again soon." She smiled at me.

She is so sweet.

"Uh, I'll walk you out." Justin was scratching the back of his neck like if he were nervous.

"So..."

"So.." It was pretty awkward.

"I'll see you tomorrow then?"

"Sure." Halfway down the patio I decided to turn around and ask him something. I don't know why I did but I did. "What happened to bad boy everyone adores? The one that girls drool over?" Having a little smirk on my face.

Instantly smirking "Trust me babe he's still here"

I couldn't help but smile "Of course he is."

"Bye" he winked and gave a two finger wave.

"Bye"

He is something else.
