×TW: Reader's Discretion Is STRONGLY Advised.

Okay, we all have read or at least tried writing fanfics, right?
(Random Person: Illy what does that have to do with anything?
Illy: I'm getting there.)

And that's all good and all, but some FANFICS (*cough cough* I'm looking at you, Lemons!) take your wildest, innocent fantasies and turn them into sick, twisted intercourse-filled nightmares filled with bad grammar, terrible ideas, and mary sues.

Most of these 'bad' fanfics often include the following mistakes (besides the mistakes mentioned on top):

1.) Plot twists that don't make any gosh darn sense: I must give some blame to my early works, dang those were awful.

2.) OOC Characters: Yes we all dream of our favorite characters, but just before you write about keep in mind your view of the character may be different from the reader's or the original authors. And that's ok and have some experience in make my baby extremely ooc .-.

3.) When authors add rape/sexual assault/ bullying to their story as plot points: keep in mind people will be offended by the way you may sugar coat it. Rape is not anyone's sex dream and should never be taken lightly. Assault is just as bad. And bullying is and could be someone's real life problem. So to avoid complaints at least put trigger warnings or crazy idea: don't write about it!

4.) Stolen ideas\ characters\ plots\ etc.: What you are doing illegal and it is called Plagiarism. If you do this the least you could do is credit them the original author's idea and differ your story from theirs.

5.) Dialogue: some dialogue is good. Good- "Hello! How are you doing? And then. Ok (but could be better) -"Lol, how ya. Ur so cool. Lol, Ur, are not real words. I know from first-hand experience that when you are an author that after a while of writing you get pretty tired of writing. So before you starting writing, brainstorm what you want to say then you should be ok.

6.) Adding ships that are not so well liked in the fandom: As mentioned above, just adding a warning or something should be okay.

7.) And finally the comment section: I love them, but all I'm going say this there are three types of people in this world: The polite commenters, the hardcore fans, and the trolls.

Some advice before writing fanfics is to:

1. Brainstorm: also called ORIGINAL IDEAS!

2. Stick to your idea: Please do.

3. Research: again, please do.

4. Practice your writing skills: write a song, poem, etc.

5. MARY-SUES: When I started joining fandoms and started creating characters for these fandoms, I made some pretty terrible ocs and some were clearly Mary/Garry-sues. Just remember to add some creative, but not too much. Not all characters have to be nekos or be multicolored haired skinny teenagers with unrealistic problems and powers or have a relationship with one of the main characters of a fandom or have a special ability or a combo of all. But that's ok if your oc is like this. It's your character, not mine.
