Breaking Point (Short Version)

We all cramped into the back of the van Logan, Taylor, Darren, Garrett, Sam, Chris, Kyle, Tom, Brian, Josh, and Nathan. Took down the seats, except for the drivers, so we could all sit in a circle around the box and bag of weapons. We had already decided that since I was the last one to join the rebellion, I would be the one to jump out and lead us 20 miles to the Hawthorne building.

When we got close enough, Rory shouted "Andrew, get out!"

"Fine, I'm getting there."

"I'll slow down for you even" he said as he started to slow down.

"Well now I can see" I said jokingly.

"Get to running!"

Chris and Rory switched out for driving while I was getting my head start.

"Why did you get to drive?" I asked Chris.

"Because we can't trust you."

"And you won't wreck the car?"

Chris started to speed up behind me, so I started to actually run.

"I still don't see why I couldn't drive" I yelled back at them before realizing they were just a cloud of dust, and the building was very close.

"What are you doing here?!" Some voice yelled at me.

"Getting into the building soon" I yelled back.

"Well that makes for two of us" the girl said.

"What are you doing here?"

"That's none of your business."

"Well I'm a part of the rebellion."

"Okay then."

"It's the other guys in the car that are helping me, where's your help?"

"I didn't want help."

"Are you sure about that, how did you get all the way out here anyways?"

"I have got two legs, how'd you manage running?"

"I sat in the car until we got to about 20 miles away."

Then I heard some guys voice yell "what are you doing?!"

"Shut up!" I yelled knowing the more noise we make out here, the easier it would be for them to catch us.

"Are you part of the rebellion?" He asked.

"I guess so" the girl replied.

"My friends are in the car" I said while looking out, and pointing to the van my friends drove.

"Well I came by myself, I'm Callan by the way" the kid said.

"I'm Bailey, I came by myself too" the girl stated.

"I'm Andrew, I lead my friends here, they're stuffed in the back with the weapons we need."

"What weapons?" Alyssa asked

"The ones we will need to get through the barrier, and free the people" I said to the stupid question.

"Well what did you all come for?" Callan asked awkwardly.

"I came to stop being the parent of my cousin, and help out with the rebellion my friends created" I explained.

"I am saving my family, since my dad has gone insane" Alyssa replied.

"Well I came because they took my parents and girlfriend, I have nothing left" Callan said, looking very distracted.

"I guess we can all work together then, form an alliance and take them down together" Alyssa stated, as if she were a genius. "If it doesn't work this time, we could start a rebellion in our towns and meet up again to finally finish the break test."

"We packed extra weapons that you two can use to get through" I offered so that they could possibly get out of my way.

"That wou..." Callan started to say, until something very unlikely happened and the gates suddenly opened before us...
