two months later

"Lexiiiiiiii," I whine. With the wedding being in less than 24 hours, I was extremely needy. At the same time, I was so tired of people. I just wanted to cuddle up and take a nap with Harry and our new puppy. He'd brought her home last week, her name is Petal and she's a seven week old black labrador.

"What's up?" Lexi plops down on the sofa next to me and brings her feet up under her.

"I'm super stressed out," I pout. "Why can't I go see Harry and Petal?"

"Because you can't," she rolls her eyes. "You need to go to sleep, Olivia. You have a huge day tomorrow and you're sitting here doing nothing and being ridiculous."

I nod and stand up. "I doubt I'll sleep, but fine. Goodnight."

I did end up falling asleep eventually, but it took me a few hours. My eagerness was eating me alive. I woke up at seven thirty, which was fine because Lexi said she would wake me up at eight anyway.

After my shower, Lexi and Autumn came stumbling tiredly into my room with breakfast. Autumn came running over to me and looked at me in wonder. She hadn't actually seen me since we were at their house. I was so busy at the ball that I hadn't been able to talk to her.

"You are the Princess! I knew it!"

"Well, no she's not," Lexi mumbles with her mouth full of waffle. "She's a Queen now. God that's weird to say. My best friend is a Queen."

I laugh at both of them and then dig into my breakfast. I didn't eat much because the butterflies in my stomach were making me feel a little funny, but I ate enough. After we were all done eating, Julia and Mary came into the room with beauty supplies and my dress. When they unwrapped my dress from the plastic, suddenly everything became so real.

Lex shoves me into the chair by my vanity and Mary sits down next to me. She's a beautician, so she agreed to do all my hair and makeup and such. She starts with my nails (after going on and on about how gorgeous my engagement ring is) and as soon as she's done I fall in love with them.

The ceremony wasn't until noon, so she stopped after that because she decided my makeup would look better if we did it closer to the time it started.

She starts with my hair at about ten, after we've all sat around and talked for a few hours with coffee and hot chocolate (with constant refill). She doesn't do much do it, she just uses a wand to curl it and then runs her fingers through it to make it into waves. After lots of hairspray to hold it in place, she places a beautiful hair piece in that holds my hair back out of my face. I'd opted out of a veil, so she was able to do whatever she wanted as long as I could get my crown on.

By the time my makeup was done, it was confirmed that Mary is actually a master of makeup. My eyes were done incredibly with natural tones of eyeshadow and a clean stripe of eyeliner. My cheeks were glowing (I'm sure they were before makeup, but thats besides the point) and my lips were the prettiest shade of pink. If I wasn't so paranoid about ruining my makeup, I would've cried when she was all done. I looked beautiful.

Getting my dress on was quite the chore. It took the help of Julia, Mary, and Lexi to get it all secured in the back and looking right. They wouldn't let me look at myself in the mirror until it was ten minutes before the ceremony, and I'd be lying if I said there weren't tears threatening to spill from my eyes when I finally took a look at myself.

Lexi comes over and grasps my hand in hers as I stand in front of the mirror. "You're stunning. You look so much like your mother."

I smile and squeeze her hand tighter. "God, I wish she was here to watch me get married. My dad, too."
