Camila's POV

Today was the day of Lucas' Christmas party he still refused to get a haircut but if I know Lauren he would most definitely have one before Christmas. Lauren was preparing some festive cupcakes for the party she was the kitchen person in our relationship. I wasn't that good at cooking but I was learning I didn't want all of that to fall on Lauren. She was damn near perfect everything she does just reeks perfection. Her proposal to me was the most perfect thing I have ever witness in my life, I couldn't believe that she actually proposed to me. Lauren and I were actually going to get married and according to Lucas it was going to be soon.

"Mama, you're coming to the party to aren't you?" Lucas asked looking up at me.

"Of course, I wouldn't miss it. I'm playing the guitar while you sing, so all that practicing we did can't be for nothing." I asked him.

"Yep, we practiced all night." He said happily.

"We did, you have an amazing voice."

"Thank you mama, you have an amazing voice to." He said so politely.

"You're such a sweetheart. So are you going to the party?" I asked him.

"Yeah mama, why?" He asked me.

"Are you going to go in your pajamas?" I asked, he was in some flannel pj's with a robe on for the cold weather.

"I'm not going in my pajama's, that's silly." He laughed.

"It most certainly is silly, so why don't I go find you something to wear while you brush your teeth and wash your face." I say to him.

"Okay mama." He said disappearing into the bathroom.

Before I went to Lucas' bedroom I walked into the kitchen to see how Lauren has progressed with the cupcakes. I see her putting white icing on them with one of those professional icing tubes or whatever you call them. They looked professional, where the hell did she learn how to do all this stuff.

"So you're also a pastry chief?" I said walking up to her.

She looks at me and smiles. "No, I just really like making cupcakes. I use to do it all the time when we would have fundraiser for our school."

"I feel a bit inadequate, your super mom." I joked.

She looks at me. "Bullshit, you're an amazing mom Camz. Those little presents you made for his class are amazing; my cupcakes are shitty in comparison and you're playing the guitar while our boy makes his musical debut. Please don't doubt your abilities as a mother especially if we are planning on having more." She said straight out, still putting icing on the cupcakes.

The mention of more kids causes my stomach to flutter uncontrollable. "Planning? When exactly?" I asked her.

"We aren't getting any younger Camz, and we don't want too much distance between Lucas and the baby. Five years is already a big enough gap if you ask me." She said looking at me.

"So you're thinking soon, like in a year or so?" I asked her cautiously.

"Maybe sooner." She shrugs. "Who knows?" She goes back to icing her cupcakes.

This was a big subject having another child would be a huge change. There were also other factors to consider, like who would carry this child, and time, was it the right time for us to have a baby. I mean we live in a two bedroom apartment that wasn't going to big enough for a family of four. But here Lauren was being nonchalant about the subject.

"Lauren." I looked at her.

She stops icing the cupcake and looks at me with a subtle smile. "Listen baby we can talk more about it later okay?" She said to me. "Here now taste this." She said dipping her finger in the icing bowl bringing it up to my mouth. She has a huge smile on her face I couldn't help but smile back and I suck the icing off her finger. "Good?" She asked.
