When I got to ShadowRidge, we went out for pizza. In the restaurant everyone was staring at us, almost like they knew we were new. I guess I was a small town where everyone knew everyone and new people were spotted immediately.
After pizza we went to the new "House". Are neighborhood was small but we had some neighbors. There were a family next door, they were nice. Especially there son Jeremy. He was nice but he looked for some kind of... flaw in me. He went to ShadowRidge high too. He was even in my home room. I was really looking forward to school tomorrow.
The next day, I got dressed, put everything in my bag, and mom drove me to school. The school was big, like REALLY big. It was like a mansion. Everyone was wearing special shirts that said stuff like "Vampire Club" or "Wolf Forever," It was so weird, what did those mean. During first period, I had chemistry, my lab partner was Jeremy, I didn't know he took chemistry, well I am new. By the time lunch rolled around, I had been hanging out with Jeremy a lot. I was also hanging out with this girl named Karla. She and Jeremy were sitting at a table with a bunch of people I didn't know. They all were eating steak. They were nice though.
After school, I went to the school hangout with Karla. It was called The Snack Shack. It was nice. They had good shakes. Then Karla asked me what I was.
"What do you mean," I said confused.
"You know, which club," she said sounding enthusiastic.
"I haven't joined any clubs yet, I'm new," I said.
"Oh, you don't know," she said,
"Know what?" I asked getting really irritated.
"You'll find out soon enough," she said as mom honked outside.
"Bye Karla," I said happily.
"Bye Kaitlyn," she said back happily.
I got in the car and mom drove home. I was so tired from the long day that I fell asleep as soon as we got home, but all I could dream about was what Karla meant by "Which club," and "You'll find out soon enough." She is so mysterious. So is this town. And I'm going to find out why.
