Louis POV-
When I woke up, I wished it was all a dream. I didn't want to open my eyes and face the reality that Arielle was fighting for her life.
I feel so useless, so helpless, so guilty. If I haven't let her meet me, if I'd taken her myself. I'm her boyfriend, I'm supposed to protect her, and I failed. When I finally gathered the courage to open my eyes, I found myself in the same ICU room next to my beautiful broken girlfriend and the all too familiar sound of her breathing tube.
As much as I didn't want to leave Ari's side, I had to get out of that room. Clear my head, call the boys, call my mum. So much to do, so many thoughts racing in my head and I'm overwhelmed. When I look down at my phone for the first time since I arrived at the hospital, I see I have 26 missed calls from the boys and family members, even uncle Simon.
So I guess they all heard the news. The dreadful, horrid news.
I decide to ring Harry and fill him in on Ari's condition. He picks up after the first ring.
"Louis" he says frantically "Is she okay? I am so sorry mate, this is terrible."
I tell him what the doctor told me and I invite him to the hospital along with the other lads.
"Harry, how did you find out about the accident? I hadn't told you yet." I ask
"It's all over the news Louis. It says she was hit by a drunk driver who died at the scene. The fans are going mad. #staystrongArielle is trending on Twitter."
I can't help but lightly smile at our fans dedication, especially in a time like this. They always support us and pick us up when we're down. Not only do they respect us, but our girlfriends too. It really shows how the fandom sticks together when we need it most.
"Thanks for the info Harry. Can you and the lads please come by the hospital? I need a bit of a distraction and I'm tired of feeling alone."
"Of course Louis, we'll be there soon."
Then I hang up and make my way back inside the hospital.
I walk to Ari's bedside and take her hand
"It's me again Ari. I don't know if you can even hear me or if I'm talking to no one right now, but I'm here. I'm here for you and I'm not leaving. I'm not letting you go, I don't care how long it takes but I'll get you back. I promise."

*Flashback*
"Arielle, have you seen my phone?" I shout through the big empty house
"Haven't even unpacked and you've already lost something Lou?" She says with a smirk as she enters our bedroom " I think I saw it downstairs in the kitchen, why don't you go check." She suggests
"What would I do without you Ari." I say suppressing a chuckle
"I think you'd lose your head if it wasn't already screwed on" she laughs
"Wow.." I say admiring our new house "I can't believe we're actually moving in together. This life I have with you Ari, it's perfect."
"I know, seems like time has flown by. Feels like just yesterday we met when Liam introduced us. Can't believe it's been two years." She says dumbfounded
"Two amazing years with the love of my life."
I say while pulling her into a hug and kissing her cheek
"I love you Lou"
"I'm so in love with you Ari"
End Flashback

So the book is gonna have a lot of flashbacks like that so fill you in on their life before the accident. Thanks for commenting suggestions, I like having the readers be apart of how the book turns out. Makes it that much more special!
