Logan's POV
*after the final bell*

When the final bell rang, I practically jumped out of my chair. I went to my locker and grabbed my phone.

I left the school building to look for my friend Rachel. Which, she was no where in sight. I look around and see the shy kid going to his car. What's his name again? Oh, right! Calum!

"Calum, right?" I said to try and get his attention. He turns around and looks stunned.

"Uh, yeah, wha-what's up?" he said shyly. Dang, he is really shy.

"I was wondering if you could give me a ride home. My friend left already, so I kinda need a ride. If that's alright?" I asked nicely so I wouldn't sound rude.

"Uh-um yeah sure. Hop in." He said trying to be more confident.

I got in on the other side. "So um, where do you live. So I can uh, take you home?" he asked.

"Oh! Sorry, I live about four blocks from here. It's on Landcaster drive, house 512." I say as I go back to going through my Instagram feed.

"Cool, I live a block away from you." I hear him say, but I don't really answer him.

We drove for what seemed like forever until we stopped, but I didn't look up from my phone so I didn't know where we were.

He clears his throat, "Um, we're here." he says as I lock my phone to unbuckle my seatbelt.

"Oh! Thanks, Calum! I'll see you at school tomorrow. Bye!" I say as I get out of the car.

Before he leaves I get a good look at him. He's tan, has nice hair, likes Blink-182, and has a couple tattoos from what I can see. He is pretty attractive for a shy guy.

I walk inside my house to see my mom cooking in the kitchen. "What are you making mom? It smells good." I say once I get a good sense of what it is.

"It's lasagna honey, nothing special." she says as she flips through her cooking magazine.

I start to walk towards the stairs, "I'll be in my room if you need me." I say as I start my way up.

I get to my room and kick my shoes off and flop onto my comfortable bed. As I lay there on my phone, all I can think about is that Calum kid. I don't know why though.

He seems so shy. He is the complete opposite of me. When I noticed he liked Blink, I thought he had pretty good taste in music. I know I don't seem like the person to like Blink-182, but I do, they make good songs.

I think about Calum a little more when I hear my mother yell that dinner is ready.

I get downstairs and my father is already sitting at the head of the table with a newspaper. I kiss his cheek, "Hey, dad. How was work?"

"Boring like any other day." he said flipping the page. We all sit at the table, and my mother asks how my day went.

"How was your first day of school, sweetie?" She asks in her "acting like she cares" tone of voice.

"Pretty boring, I wanted to sleep through all of the classes." after I said that my mother glared at me because all she cares about is my grades.

"Sorry." I say and continue eating. Which is actually pretty good for a lasagna that came from a box.

After dinner I excuse myself from the table and go back to my room to take a shower in my connected bathroom.

After my shower I take the rest of my makeup off and watch some tv as I try to fall asleep.

The funny thing is, I fell asleep thinking of Calum again. I don't know how but my mind always wonders back to him.
