The metallic odor of blood hung heavily in the air of the old forgotten bedroom. Thunder rumbled and lightning flashed. The light briefly flooded the room and you noticed the bay window slowly creaked open. In the second flash of light you noticed a small book on the floor.
"I know you want to read it, go ahead." The girl's chilly voice rang and caused shivers to run down your spine. You stood there speechless as your brain worked in overdrive. Connections slowly made their way into your mind and the realization struck you. The wind still howled loudly, but it felt like more of a background noise compared to the thoughts that had just run through your head. You slowly moved forward on the stained carpet and grabbed the book. When you turned it over you saw a name embossed on the front. Melissa Elizabeth McCollum
"Now you know her story, you also know mine." Melissa's icy voice cut through the palpable silence of the room. "Now you know who I am." Her words tangled around you and stunned you. Her crimson and white eyes flashed in the dark room. "Now it's time to join me." He raspy voice had cut you to the bone and chilled you to the core. "Alan is waiting for you." Melissa whispered as she vanished. "You better run, he'll be here soon." Her voice echoed in the empty bedroom of Melissa Elizabeth McCollum. The lighting flashed and the thunder shook the house. A loud creek escaped the open bay window as a large gust of wind blew against the house.
