Chapter 8

Delilah's P.O.V
I woke up and saw that Tyler's arm was on my waist. I then realized I was in the same position except j also had my leg on his legs. Dammit Delilah couldn't you do at least this right?! I quickly took my arm and leg off and attempted to get of my bed smoothly.

(Notice I said attempted)

Instead I fell off with a loud thud, which caused Tyler to jump a little and he woke up rubbing his left eye. His hair was a little messy making him look a little more attractive. I guess he than realized why I am on the floor and where that thud came from because he started laughing his butt off. "Di-did yu-you just fall off the be-bed?!" He said between laughs. "Yeah yeah laugh that big head of yours off but get up, I'm going to go take a shower" I said. "Umm hopefully you know how to cook, because I'm expecting a nice breakfast when I come out the shower" I said with a smirk. "You really think I would make breakfast? Yeah right!" He said. "I know your weakness Ty don't make me use it against y-- sh*t sorry I hope you didn't mind me calling you Ty?" I asked. "No it's cool I don't know the last time I've heard someone call me that, I like that. I'm not like my brother who doesn't like nick names" he said. "Huh?" I asked. "My older brother Mike, the one who came to pick me up from Pizza Hut, yeah he hates it when I call him Mikey." He said laughing. "Anyhoo, you go make breakfast and I'll take a shower" I said as I was about to go my phone rang. It was from mom, huh weird. "Yeah hey mom, what's up" I answered. "Um De-Delilah, are you a-at home?" She asked. "Yeah mom but what happened aren't you and dad out?" I asked. I heard her start crying. "Mom what happened? Mom why are you crying? Mom tell me please don't cry" I said getting concerned. I went and sat on the bed. "Sweetie its a long story I'm on my way home, I'll tell you when I get there I'll be there in 20" she said. "K mom take care bye love you." "Love you too" and with that I hung up. I leaned my back against my headboard and tried not to cry. Why I was about to cry I don't know. I heard water running and I then realized Tyler was in the bathroom while I was talking to mom. A tear slipped down my cheek and than more followed. I put my head in my hands and cried. I heard the bathroom door open than shut, I looked up and looked at Tyler. "Omg ok fine Delilah you go take a shower and I'll make the breakfast, why are you crying over this little thin-- wait your moody are you on your--" I cut him off. "Tyler my mom just called." I managed to say. "And.." He said indicating for me to go on. I told him whatever happened and he hugged me. "Sh don't worry it'll be ok." He said. "Now go take a shower" he ordered. "The shower can wait, moms gonna be here soon and I'm gonna go downstairs and wait." He nodded. "Hey if you want I can lend you a t-shirt and a pair of jeans. He looked at me like I was crazy or something. "Don't worry not mines my cousins he left them we washed them and never got the time to give them back." He nodded and I searched through my closet and gave him the clothes. "I'm gonna change so if you don't mind.." And I gestured toward the door. "Ok ok I'm going" he closed the door and I locked it. I went to my bathroom, did my business, brushed my teeth and washed my face. I got out and walked to my closet. My moms coming after what a month?, Delilah dress properly and nice. I looked through my closet and found an outfit. I wore a white with a cross on it made of silver studs. I wore light turquoise skinny jeans with matching nail polish. I wore silver heart-shaped studs and a silver bracelet. My hair is naturally wavy so I brushed it and put on a white bow. I put on eyeliner, mascara and red lipstick. I put on fake glasses because cmon they look great on me. I went through my phone cases and found a black one with PINK written across it in silver. I put my phone in my back pocket and jogged down the stairs. I saw that there was Nutella, peanut butter, sliced bananas and bread in the toaster. "Doing good so far" I said making him jump. He put his phone in his back pocket and looked me up and down. "And your doing good transforming yourself from a bed monster to a pretty girl" he said and smirked. God I just hate that smirk. I was offended but yet was blushing because he basically said I looked pretty,...right?? I heard the toast go up with a ding! And I heard the doorbell at the same time. "I'll get it I'm pretty sure it's mom" I said and he nodded while taking out the toast. I opened the door and saw my mom. She was really pretty she had long straight brown hair and had my eyes. "Hey mom it's so good to see you again!" I said as we hugged. "Same here, by the way you look amazing" she said. "Same goes for you but um mom where's dad?" I asked. I noticed that as soon as I asked about dad her smile dropped. "I'll tell you that later um won't you let me in?" She asked a little nervous. "Oh yea sure come in mom". I said. Right when we got in the kitchen I realized I forgot to tell her about Tyler. "Delilah sweetie who is this?" She asked pointing to Tyler. "Hey Mrs.Kerls I'm Tyler, I'm new here and I'm Delilah's classmate and friend, last night we watched a horror movie and she was scared and so I kinda stayed over." Tyler said . I let out a breath I never knew I was holding. I thought he would tell her about me liking him and the date and all that. Anywayssss. "That was very sweet of you, but um well my last name is not Kerls anymore it's Kandy spelled with a "k" and please call me Monica." She said. Waiiiit a second. "Mom Kandy?? Wasn't that your last name before you got married?" I asked. "Um well dear that's part of what I have to tell you, you eat your breakfast first Tyler was very sweet to make it,you guys eat I'll go freshen up." She said. "Ok mom" I said. We were eating and she came back, I kept glancing back at her and she was fidgeting with her marriage ring with tears in her eyes. I slid my unfinished plate forward and slammed my hands on the table getting up. Tyler got startled and also stood up and mom shot her head up. "That's it can you already tell me what's wrong?!" I shouted. "Mom you know I can't stand seeing you cry can you please tell me?" I said a little calmer and putting my hands on her shoulders. She looked down and I saw a tear drop. I sat her down on a chair and dragged a chair in front of her for me. "I-it's a long story" she said. "Tell me mom, I have all day." I said. She looked at Tyler than back at me. "If you want me to leave its ok I'll leave" Tyler said. "No no it's ok stay you have the full right to know everything about your friend" my mom said.
