Out The Closet and in to Church Mode

As I was in severe pain, I hear voices echoing my name and I can't even open my eyes.

Paramedics- Leah!! Sweetheart can you hear me?

I was on stretcher being rolled into an ambulance.

Richard- Leah!! Come on Leah say something.

Paramedics- Excuse me sir do you know what happen to this young lady?

Richard- I have an idea of what happen.

Paramedics- Good enough we need to ride with us to the hospital, we're gonna need you help.

Richard- Why what's happening to her.

Paramadics- Listen, right is not the time to ask a million question. Leah's life is at risk right now.

Richard- Ok let's go.

Richard and the Paramedics hopped in the ambulance and took off straight to the hospital. Richard sat by my side, held my hand, and prayed his heart out.

Paramedics- Son, prayer is a miracle worker. I know you're a church boy.

Richard- Yea. I know God can heal Leah. God can do anything but fail.

Paramedics- Amen my brother.

Richard's POV

We arrived at the hospital and they rushed Leah straight to the ICU (Intensive Care Unit). My heart rate was faster than my breathing. I had called Darrell and told him that Leah was in the hospital.

Darrell- What happen!?!

Richard- Bro!!! Now is not the time to ask a million questions. Leah's life is on the line. Get down here now!!!

I had walked in to the waiting room pacing the floor, thinking, and praying at the same time. This is too hard for me. My best friend, well my sister by choice, is on the verge of loosing her life. Before I could sit down I hear Darrell voice before he could even open. I can tell all hell finna break loose.

Richard- Darrell. Calm down.

Darrell- Man don't tell me calm down!! What happen to Leah? Why is this happening?

Richard- Maybe if you calm down, I will tell you.

Darrell- Ok. I'm sorry. This is a lot for me.

Richard- Ok first I wanna say that Leah's gonna kill me because she told me not to tell anybody, including you. Anyway. Leah had called my and said she needed to talk to me. So she told that a year ago she had a boyfriend name De'Andre. He was very nice at one point. As they got in to their relationship, he started to be abusive with Leah. She got beaten almost every day because there were some thing's that Leah didn't want to do and he got mad with her. He raped her and she couldn't get any help because she was too scared. Sometimes he had threaten to kill her. She called the police and got a restraining order. He hasn't messed with her since then. But that only made it worse. He started stalking her. When she went on her jogg a few days ago, he had found her there. He kept saying that he was going to have her and threatened to kill you because you 'stole her from him'. Then he had grabbed her by the arm and she tased him. So I believe he tried to get revenge by trying to beat her to death. That's why we're here.

Darrell- I should've went with her.

Richard- What you talking вoυт?

Darrell- When we were leaving the beach, Leah needed to go back to the house because she had left her I.D. I had asked to go with her but she said she was fine. Now my baby in the hospital because of me.
