I was woken up by my mother shaking me.

"Daniel James Howell, if you don't wake up right now, you're going to be late for school!"

"Alright! I'm up, I'm up!" I groggily batted at her hands to make her stop shaking me. I rolled over and was about to fall asleep again when she yanked the covers onto the floor.

"Mum!"

"Get up, Dan. Now! You know you can't be late again!"

I groaned as I sat up. Whoever thought that 8am was a good time to start school should be drowned.

I pulled on a black t-shirt, a pair of black skinny jeans, and some black converse, then checked my phone.

I was surprised to receive an immediate reply.
