Cathy's POV
I brushed my hair. I froze as I heard the doorbell ring. I slowly walked out of my room. Patrick hurried down the stairs and opened the door. I caught up to him and stood behind him. A guy wearing a suit and sunglasses stood at the door.
"Patrick and Cathy Benson?" The guy asked.
"Yes, sir?" Patrick responded.
The guy nodded and pushed his way into the house.
"Who are you?" Patrick asked.
"A friend of your parents." The guy removed his sunglasses.
"But they aren't here." I spoke up.
"I know. They won't be here for a while unless you two can help us." The guy stared at Patrick and I.
"Help with what, exactly?" I crossed my arms.
"I'll explain it to you on the way. Come on." He put his sunglasses on and opened the door.
"Hold on. We're not going anywhere. We don't know your name or where you came from." Patrick stared at the guy.
"I cannot tell you anything until we are in private." The guy looked at Patrick.
"Then, I guess we're not going anywhere." Patrick crossed his arms.
The guy raised an eyebrow and looked from me to Patrick then back again. He let out a slight sigh. "I didn't wan't to do this but you leave me no choice."
Patrick and I looked at each other. The guy lunged towards me and threw me over his shoulder.
"HEY!" I pounded on his back. "PUT ME DOWN!"
"LET HER GO!" Patrick told the guy.
The guy carried me out the door. Patrick followed him. The guy put me in the back of a black SUV. He pushed Patrick in. He shut the door and got in the car. He started to drive. I stared out the window.
"This is kidnapping!" Patrick told the guy.
"I suppose this is as private as it gets. I am Agent Roger. We are heading to The Spies headquarters." He explained quickly.
"Agent? The Spies headquarters? What's going on here?" Patrick asked.
"Your parents are secret agents. So am I. The Radicals have taken your parents hostage. We need the two of you to go in undercover and get them out." Roger explained.
"We haven't even had any training." Patrick pointed out. "We didn't even know about spies."
"Now you do. All I'm asking is that you two just cooperate with us. We will have your parents back safe and sound with your help." Roger pulled into a parking lot. "You two in?" Roger looked at Patrick and I.
Me and Patrick looked at each other. We looked at Roger and nodded. Roger smiled.
"If you two would just stay close to me and stay quiet, please. Do not tell anyone about this place." Roger got out of the SUV.
Patrick and I got out of the SUV and followed Roger. He said his name into a microphone and scanned his hand. A door opened. Roger removed his sunglasses and walked in. We followed him. The door shut after me. Patrick glanced at me. We both loked around. Roger would nod and wave at some people. Patrick and I looked around in awe. The hall we walked through was completely made of metal. We stopped at a tall door. Roger nodded to two guys standing on either side of the door. He opened the door and motioned for us to walk ahead. Patrick walked in first then I followed. Roger walked in behind me.
"Ma'am, the Benson kids." Roger bowed slightly.
A lady looked from her computer and looked at us. She took off her glasses. She stood up. "Hello, Cathy and Patrick. My name is Lindsey." She walked towards us.
Patrick and I stared at her.
"I suppose Roger has told you everything?" Lindsey stood in front of us.
We both nodded.
"You don't have to be shy. We're a team, a family. We will get your parents back. Come with me." Lindsey walked past us.
Patrick and I glanced at Roger then followed Lindsey.
"This is The Spies headquarters. We all train here. We'll take care of you two." Lindsey looked at us and smiled. "You two look just like your parents." She pointed out.
I smiled slightly.
"When do we begin our training?" Patrick asked.
"So eager to learn, too. I like that." Lindsey smiled at Patrick. "Very well, follow me." Lindsey turned and began walking again.
Patrick motioned for me to go ahead. I followed Lindsey and Parick walked behind me.
"Who are the Radicals?" I asked.
"The Radicals are our enemies. They just want us all dead. The reason we need you two is because they know all of our agents. We need you two to go in undercover and act like them. Gain their trust. Do what they say. Eventually, they will show you their prisoners, that is when you will observe everything and see if there's a way to get them out. I will tell you both, now." Lindsey looked at us. "It won't be easy." She opened a door. "This is the training room. Here you will learn how to use the gadgets and you will also learn some fighting techniques."
Patrick and I looked around the room. We saw other agents training. Another lady walked up to us.
"Good morning, Lindsey." She gave a slight curtsey.
"Hello, Zoey." Lindsey smiled.
"Are these them?" Zoey looked at me and Patrick.
"Yup. Cathy and Patrick Benson." Lindsey looked at us.
"Nice to finally meet you!" Zoey shook our hands. "I will be your trainer here." she smiled
"I'll see you two around." Lindsey walked away.
We looked at Zoey. Zoey gave us a slight nod and motioned for us to follow her. Patrick and I followed Zoey as we looked around at the other training agents. She stopped in front of a dummy.
"I will start by teaching you some fighting techniques." Zoey turned to look at us as she spoke.
Patrick and I paid close attention to what Zoey was saying and doing.
