*a week later*
Seth's POV
"We have to stay alert. We have no idea who the Spies could send and when." My sister, Crystal, explained.
"We're all aware of that, Crystal." I looked up at her from my laptop.
"So then what are you doing?" She crossed her arms.
"I hacked into the Spies database and I'm looking a t the list of their agents to see if they had added anyone new." I told her as I scrolled down and examined the names and faces.
"Anyone new?" Crystal sat beside me.
"Not that I see."I glanced at her.
She looked at my screen. "Who's that?" She pointed.
"Oh that's Zoey. She joined two years ago." I told her.
"How often do you do this?" Crystal looked at me.
"Twice a week. Mondays and Fridays." I told her. "Zoey is very unpredictable though. She became an expert in fighting within a few months. It wouldn't surprise me if they sent her in. But I highly doubt they think we're that dumb."
"No one new then?" Crystal asked.
"No. They're probably gonna plan an ambush. We'd better stay prepared just in case." I turned off my laptop.
I put my laptop away and stood up. I walked out of the room.
"See you around." Crystal told me as she walked the opposite way I was heading.
I shoved my hands in my pockets and walked to the boss's office. The guards stepped aside as I entered.
"Hello, Seth." The big boss stood up.
"Good afternoon, sir." I gave him a slight nod and took my hands out of my pockets.
"Today is Monday. Any new agents?" He asked.
"No, sir. All the same agents. I recommend that we stay alert just in case they're planning an ambush." I spoke respectfully.
"You're right." He stood up.
"Sir!" One of the guards barged in.
"What is it? It better be important." He crossed his arms.
"New recruits. Two of them. Siblings." The guard saluted.
"Send them in." The boss glanced at me.
The guard stepped aside. Two people walked in. A girl and a guy. I couldn't help but stare at the girl. She was gorgeous. The guy bowed and the girl gave a curtsey.
"My name is Billy Henderson and this is my sister Rebecca Henderson." The guy spoke up.
The girl met my gaze and smiled. I smiled back. The boss looked at me.
"A word, Seth?" He motioned to me.
I looked at him and nodded. We both walked to the far corner of the room.
"See them in the Spies database?" He whispered.
"No, sir. They were not part of the Spies." I whispered back truthfully.
"Then it looks like we've got us some new recruits." The boss turned around and looked at Rebecca and Billy.
They both smiled.
"You may only call me Sir or The boss." He told them.
Billy glanced at me.
"This is Seth Coone." The boss motioned to me. "He will be your trainer." He pointed at Rebecca.
