"NOW WHO THE F*CK WAS THAT?" My dad shouted

I immediately put my hands on my ears and closed my eyes. Hoping my dad could stop shouting at me.

"DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND THAT I HATE WHEN YOU HANG OUT WITH BOYS!" He yelled

Tears rolled down my cheeks

"I'm really sorry dad; I promise that this won't happen again" I replied

"Hmm, now go away" he said in a calmer voice

I rushed to my bedroom, sitting on my bed. My eyes started to tear up. My sister Safire entered my bedroom looking worried.

"Are you okay? What happened, all I heard is dad shouting?"She asked looking concerned

"Do you know Mason in our school?" I said looking depressed

"Yeah... I think so"

"Well he offered me a ride home. I declined it, because I knew dad wouldn't like it. But then he told me that a terrible storm was going to happen so I thought it would be better if I actually did go with him, and when I came home that's when I believe dad saw me with him." I explained

"Yeah I did hear in the news that a dreadful storm is going to happen soon, but seriously Nakasha don't mind what dad says, you know how he is." She said hugging me, which calmed me down.

She is really one of the best sisters I have. She always helps me and understands me. When I need some support and someone to talk to, the number one person I would go to would be my sister. I love her to bits.

My sister- Safire Adams is just an incredible awesome girl. She is just a gorgeous, lovely, caring girl. She has big, brown, glistening eyes with long, wavy, glossy brown hair. When she smiles her white bright teeth shows which is just stunning. She is awe-inspiring.

She patted my back and said

"Now stop being upset and smile"

I directly looked up at her and started to smile

"Now that's more like it. Anywho, if you need me I'll be in my room, I'm just need to do some stuff. Ok?"

"Alright" I replied still smiling

She smiled back and left my room.

Suddenly my balcony doors swung open which made me jump. I looked and I saw that I didn't close the balcony doors and the wind just kept blowing everything. I guess the real storm is happening now. I got up and tried to close the doors as the wind started to get even stronger which was getting quite difficult. I managed to close the doors. Moving the blinds away to see what was happening outside. Certainly not opening the doors as that would be a total workout for me to close it again. I looked at the clouds they were extremely grey which looked scary. Rain poured harshly on the ground it seemed like if the rain touched you, it would destroy your skin FOREVERRR. Okay getting to dramatic. Lightening struck through the sky which looked like veins in my opinion. Everything looked fascinating. I started to thank Mason in my head, as it would be a nightmare if I walked home in this condition.

I looked up at the sky and the only thing that came up in my head was my mum. She is an incredible woman. She would make sure that no one had a frown, as she would turn that frown straight into a smile. She was gorgeous and such a kind-hearted woman. I love her. When our family founded out that Shakira Mits-my mother had thyroid cancer, we were wretched. It was a really hard period of time. My dad was dismal and I and my sister were just sombre. Even though my mum was weak she did have a strong heart and she tried to fight cancer. When I was 10 years old that's when my mum lost the battle of cancer. She passed away on 16th March 2003.

My mother always supported me to become a scientist. She would prepare me in every exam I had to make sure I do get good grades. As for my father he never thought I was capable of becoming a scientist. But that wouldn't stop me from becoming what I want to become in the future. I always wanted to discover a bit more about cancer, as it did kill many people. Now that it killed my mother, this made me more determined to find the cure of cancer.

Cancer has killed many many people, and now it's my turn I will kill CANCER!
