Why does this always have to happen to me like seriously?
I ran as fast as I could trying not to get too late to school, when clearly it was a stupid idea because I was already 45 minutes late anyway. I'm totally going to get a late detention. Stupid alarm clock, not going off at the right time! Mrs Ellis (the attendance officer) is completely going to kill me. This has been the fourth time in a row of me being late this week. She's definitely going to destroy my eardrums that's for sure.
Holding one of the world's heaviest science text book and running so awkwardly. I clearly looked like a headless chicken that needed help. Trying so hard not to fall, as I couldn't see where I was going because my hair was everywhere in my face.
What?...
I didn't have time to brush my hair and put it into a bun. Once I woke up I checked the time and that's when I knew I was in trouble. I ran to the toilet, cleared my bladder. Brushed my teeth, got dressed, got my bag and literally ran out the house. I didn't think about anything else. I was just trying to get out the house as fast as I could.
Everyone in the street was absolutely looking at me so strangely. I can tell each individual were judging me in the worst way ever. For sure I was looking like a crazy clown that got beaten up by crows. Just marvellous! urghh. All of a sudden something in my pocket started to vibrate, and that's when I was about to have a mini heart attack. My phone scared the crap out of me. I took out my phone and noticed that I got a text message from Maya.
Maya is one of my best friends. Once we met each other we knew that we were going to be best friends. We became best friends in the start of secondary school. She's amazing and a very beautiful girl. She has long wavy blonde hair. With light grey eyes that shines like glitter. She's also the girl that didn't really wear makeup, she was the simple girl. In my opinion I don't even think she even needs makeup like she's gorgeous.
Maya: Where are you class has already started?
That's when I started typing, and to make something clear running and texting your friend is not an easy thing to do.
Me: I know I know. My alarm clock didn't go off at the right time and that's why I'm late.
After few seconds my phone buzzed. Maya types really fast.
Maya: Well hurry up
Me: Yeah I'm nearly there
Maya: Alright and Nakasha, I'm getting you an alarm clock!
Me: Lol, I definitely need it...
Mia: Indeed you do J
Me: J
That's when I threw phone in my bag and started rushing to school. I checked the time and it was 9:45am. Well bravo Nakasha today isn't going to be the happiest days ever.
After crossing few roads and heading in different lanes. I finally arrived at Riverbank high college. You can say it's a huge college, as I did get lost many times when I first came to this college. Now now let's not get into that time shall we.
I went to my locker to get all the books that I needed for each lesson that I had today. There was literally no one in the corridors, which showed that everyone were in their lessons. Well some students.
I saw a boy putting his jacket in his locker. I believed it was Mason. Mason was a very good student. He's a very unique person. He enjoyed science a lot just like me. I know that because were in the same class for science. We both do biology and chemistry for A-levels. He seats next to me and truly he is a funny dude. He told me that he wanted to become a scientist and quite surprising, that is the same career that I want to become in the future.
I walked up to him...
"Hey Mason." I said with a massive smile on my face, I probably looked creepy.
Mason turned around. He looked at me with so much content.
"Oh hey Nakasha" he replied
I was wondering why he was even in the corridor because lessons had already started.
"Are you late to school?" with a confused expression.
"Yeah" he said simply
"Why?" I asked
"Traffic." he said looking awfully annoyed
I nodded
"You?" He said wondering
"My alarm clock" I looked also annoyed about my situation
He nodded
"Well I guess I better be going to lesson now. I don't want Mrs Ellis to get even angrier at me." I said while waving at him
"Bye" he says while waving back at me
"Bye" I merely said
I hurried to class which was ICT. I really didn't want to miss anything important, as A-level exams are coming very soon. This made me nervous.
